Question:	How do I know what size staples will be needed? Need to redo the fabric on my ottomon and seat covers
Answer:	For general purpose household use, I use the 3/8 for most jobs. You should measure how thick your cover material is and add how thick your wood is to get the right size. Example: doing cardboard strips over plastic sheet for window coverings, the cardboard is about 1/6" thick, the plastic sheet is 9ml thick, and the window frame is 1" thick. I would use 3/8" staples to get decent penetration or 1/2 - 17/32 if it was outside (due to wind). For my bike seat cover I used 3/8" and it work fine. Hope this helps.
Question:	is there a safety release? I can't get it to fire a staple
Answer:	No safety release. You probably have a staple stuck in the firing mechanism. Two of mine started jamming constantly so I set them aside. Eventually, I contacted Arrow through their website, asking about repairs. They have a program that will fix your stapler for $8. I sent them both staplers and a week later, TWO NEW STAPLERS arrived at my door. Check that out.
Question:	Do I need to be a weight lifer to fire the trigger hard to fire? I need to use one hand to hold and one hand to fire
Answer:	49 year old woman with tendinitis and rotator cuff issues. It definitely takes both hands and some pressure for me--more if I need to get the staples all the way in, reliably; less if I just need them to grab and hold. Overhead, I can do 50, take a long break, then another 50, in a day. If I want a perfect job, maybe 30 staples, and pressing downwards or sideways, not overhead. On the good side, it jams way less than some supposedly "self firing" staplers I have used, and I don't fear nailing myself in the thigh if I get careless and roll onto it (a grounded fear based on a prior bad experience). And it'll hold up to a more powerful user whaling away at it, without going wonky.

Answer:	I have not had it very long. I used it to assembly a picture frame and to recover the fabric on our chairs in dining room. It worked really well. I think I only had to hit 1 staple with hammer to make it more flush. I do a lot of diy projects and I love the cordless tools. Plus I have a little arthritis in my hands, so this made it easier for me.

Question:	How do you get the staple gun to work
Answer:	After you get the Staples in and you push it down on whatever you're wanting to do you use your other hand and push down on the top of it where that little twist knob is and then squeeze it. If you're not pushing down hard enough on the top it will not work
Question:	Has janyone use this on a canvas
Answer:	Yes, it will. I had 1" foam rubber, batting and fabric on a cornice board and it went through all of it.
Question:	Has anyone use this on a canvas
Answer:	No, I haven't. But seems to me it should work, I mean if it goes through wood, it should go through canvas

How to use Staple Gun Properly

1. Examine the material of the item you are about to staple, and compare it to the width and depth of the staples you plan to use. Choose the right staples for your projects.

2. Check what you are stapling as you don’t want to hit any other objects.

3. Put on a pair of safety glasses or goggles and safety gloves.

4. Insert a row of staples into the tray. Make sure they are properly seated in the tray so that none are sticking up. Push the tray back into the staple gun until the latch is clipped in place.

5. Ensure no one is standing near you.

6. Slowly squeeze the trigger. Keep your finger away from the trigger when you do not need to staple to avoid accidentally firing the staple gun.

7. Lock the trigger. Release the tray latch, and remove the remaining staples.(Never leave your staple gun at the reach of children.)
