Question: Is the trigger the only thing that activates the nail being fired? Seems less safe that way
Answer: No, the nose of the nailer must be depressed to activate the nailer.
Question: My moldings require a very accurate placement of the nail. Will the "smart point" be worth the extra money over other nailers

User questions & answers

Question: UPHOLSTERy
Answer: There seem to be reviews for multiple staplers. I purchased the TR250 and it does NOT come with staples. I do not know if the TR45K does or not.
Question: what size staples did the gun come with? i read that it was 1000 of them, but what size? thanks everybody
Answer: Yes - it is a (brad) nail gun as well. I use Arrow # BN1810 5/8" Brad Nails. This stapler takes 5 sizes of staples (1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2" & 9/16") and 2 sizes of brad nails (1/2" & 5/8").
Question: Does it come with staples or do I need to order that separately
Answer: I wouldn’t. One slip and you’ll have a dent in your floor. I slipped with 1/4” plywood and it punched a hole through it.
Question: is this a stapler and a nail gun? If a nail gun, what kind of nails do i use
Answer: That is correct. The tolerance between the internal piston and the cylinder is so great that only large headed nails can be driven with it.

User questions & answers

Question: Is it true that the hammer is only "positive placement" for nails up to 2.5" long
Answer: Yes, pp tip for nails up to 2.5" in length. Framing tip for up to 3.5"
Question: How is it powered? Is it pneumatic or battery operated and/or use compressed gas cylinders
Answer: It is pneumatic. I've been using a 6 gal Campbell Hausfeld compressor with 1/4" quick disconnects at about 90 - 100 psi for metal connectors and 16d nails and have never run out of air. I bought it mainly for the metal connector ability, which it does great, but is also great for down to 6d nails. Just turn down the pressure on the smaller nails.
Question: Is it difficult to find nails for this hammer
Answer: Metal connector nails need to be larger around to fit properly in the holes and have the shear strength. If the nail is longer than 2-1/2 inches the gun will not fire by design. I can only find the 1-1/2 21 degree nails on Amazon and Home Depot online. They are expensive, but surprisingly, I tried some 33 degree 1-1/2 inch nails in this gun and it fires normal. I don't see any wear as a result either. I would not try this with longer 33 degree nails because they would angle out of reach of the driver. The gun out performs my old Senco SN60 by a large margin, is lighter, but about an inch taller.
Question: What is the difference between a round head and a clipped head nailer
Answer: The round head is the traditional type nail you would find in a box or bin of nails. The clipped head is the round head clipped off to the width of the nail shank on two sides--does not had the holding power of the round head.

Sometimes in order to make things better you need to take them back to their original design. With that being said here we have the all new and at the same time like the original NR83A5. The NR83A5 has the same legendary durability and reliability you have come to trust with Hitachi, but now with an improved trigger design and sharing all the same internal parts as the original NR83A. User questions & answers

Question: Will they fit Harbor Freight brand cap stapler
Answer: No Staples come with it
Question: Are the staples galvanized or rust resistant as per building code
Answer: If you are in a hurricane rated area it will be more than if you are not. You would need to contact your building codes dept and ask them your question. In lower Florida you can't use these at all as they require metal tabs and this varies from city to city. Where I live in Tennessee we stagger them on about a 1' apart with 3 runs in a length of 30lb felt. In one square you would use around 100 tabs. In high wind areas they require 6" spacing on seams and laps with two staggered runs in the middle on 1' spacing, this would be 150 or so per square.
Question: Does this pack come with the staples
Answer: Yes...but the factory rafter hook is a piece of junk.
Question: How many caps per square
Answer: Fastener Type Full Round Head, Plastic Strip Collation Magazine Angle 21 Degree Fastener Length Capacity 2" - 3-1/4" Fastener Diameter Range .113 to .131 Magazine Capacity 64 Magazine Loading Top Fitting 1/4" Industrial Operating Pressure 70-120psi Jam Clearing Open Nose Depth Setting Tool-Less Actuation Selective (Sequential/Contact) L x W x H 21-13/16" x 4-1/4" x 13-3/8" Weight w/o Hook 8.8 lbs Weight w/ Hook 9.1 lbs
