13 best wen brad nailers

WEN is a company that manufactures a variety of power tools and equipment, including brad nailers. Brad nailers are tools used for precision nailing, particularly for applications like trim work, molding, and other woodworking projects.

WEN brad nailers are designed to provide efficient and accurate nailing with a focus on ease of use. Some features commonly found in WEN brad nailers may include:

  1. Adjustable Depth Settings: Many WEN brad nailers allow users to adjust the depth of the nail, providing control over how deeply the nail is driven into the material.

  2. Magazine Capacity: The nail magazine is where the brad nails are loaded.WEN brad nailers typically have a magazine with a decent capacity, reducing the need for frequent reloading.

  3. Sequential and Contact Firing Modes: Some WEN brad nailers offer both sequential and contact firing modes. Sequential firing involves pulling the trigger for each individual nail, while contact firing allows for rapid firing when the trigger is held down.

  4. Anti-Dry Fire Mechanism: This feature prevents the nailer from firing when the magazine is empty, protecting the tool and preventing damage.

  5. No-Mar Tips: To prevent damage to the work surface, WEN brad nailers often come with no-mar tips that leave minimal or no marks on the material.

It's essential to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and safety instructions when using any power tool, including WEN brad nailers. Additionally, selecting the right size and type of brad nails for your project is crucial for achieving the desired results. If you have specific questions about a particular WEN brad nailer model, consulting the product manual or contacting WEN customer support can provide detailed and accurate information.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I use L cleat 18g nails with this model
Answer: Unfortunately, this item is not compatible with L or T cleats.
Question: Will this work on 5/16 hardwood floor
Answer: I have the 61721, and it shot 2" brads through 3/4pine paneling and into pressure treated 2x4 no problem. You could easily shoot the brads too deep, i had to adjust the air down to get the heads to be near flush. I have no idea if it's a good idea, or the proper fastener for 5/16 hardwood, but I imagine the nailer is fully capable of shooting the brads with enough force, but who knows ... is an 18ga brad even strong enough to penetrate 5/16 hardwood. Maybe it will go through soft maple, but what about solid hickory? or beech? we don't know what your flooring is.
Question: Can this be used to staple artificial grass to subgrade bend a board
Answer: No it would go right through. Use a staple gun.
Question: Can be use for repair sofa
Answer: I'm not sure how you will be repairing you sofa but you can leave the flooring foot on or you can remove it and it becomes a brad nailer. Eather way for the price it is a very hand tool. Hope this helps you.

User questions & answers

Question: What's the difference with other same products
Answer: Hello, this was a gift so I'm not sure what the difference is but the person I brought this for swears behind this company name
Question: Can this nailer go through oak - e.g. some oak cove or shoe molding
Answer: This nailer will go through oak but I had to crank up the air pressure to above 95 psi to make sure it set the pins below the surface. Try it out on a piece of scrap and see what it does for you.
Question: gun fires, but nails won't come out. What is the problem
Answer: If the gun sounds like it is firing and no nails are coming out, you need to clear the jamb by removing the front plate. Once clear, the nails should feed. check for gunk on the nails or that it is inserted with the point down. (chisel point is easy to see with a very bright light.)
Question: Why won't the 1/2" pins stay in place when ever you drive one in, next one jumps from groove
Answer: I have used both extremes in pin length, 1 3/16 and the shortest I think was 3/8, all with no problem. If the "next one jumps from the groove" as you say, are the pins still in the colated (glued together) row or have the ones you're using been separated before they were loaded into the nailer. Also are you using Bostitch pins or an off brand? I have always used Bostitch pins and I am careful not to separate them before they go into the nailer. This combination seems to always work fine for me. P.A. Schuster

User questions & answers

Question: Just found out I need an air compressor. Can I just buy any air compressor like a tire pump or does it require one of those big ones? Recommendation
Answer: It states 18 guage Staples and 18 guage nails . 16 guage Staples are larger Staples than the nailer recommends . I think they would more than likely Cause the nailer to jam or fail .
Question: What diameter of hose & fitting should be used - 1/4" or 3/8"? Thanks
Answer: Be sure to read instructions closely. There are different levels to load into.
Question: As a newbie, could someone please give me a list of what else I will need to use this correctly
Answer: Dear, Release the bottom magazine and then refer to the photos on amazon page to load the staples /nails in, and choose the high or low modes as your needs, finally, press the handle to shoot the staples or nails out.
Question: What size range of brads can this nailer use? I have seen lots of review that say 2 inches, but how short of a brad can you use
Answer: Dear, We are sorry that it may not be suitable for shoes.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work to build a deck
Answer: Great question! This is actually a misprint that we've since fixed. The instructions should have read "freeze for at least six hours." Meaning, you can leave them in the freezer as long as you'd like! They're built to last a lifetime, so feel free to freeze 'em for six hours or sixty years. Hope that clears things up! Cheers, -Doug Frolk Customer Support Specialist
Question: What is the arrow on top for? the paper that comes with this gun isn't helpful at all
Answer: I purchased the WEN 61721 18-Gauge 3/8-Inch to 2-Inch Pneumatic Brad Nailer with 2000 Nails - it doesn't come with a case, but it came with several sizes of nails.
Question: Can you nail carpet down on a platform with this gun
Answer: I have never done upholstery work, this only shoots Brad's with basically no head. Imagine a finish nail. To my mind the head wouldn't be enough to hold the fabric.
Question: Where exactly do the staples go? Instructions are horrible, i put them where i thought they should go, and it just fires air
Answer: Worked fine until it broke in less than a year.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work with Campbell Hausfeld FP209499 3-Gallon Air Compressor
Answer: They are shiped from Amazon FBA centers and come with prime for 1-2 days. Otherwise they are made in China but we used quality materials. The glass is thick and heavy for example. With China you get what you paid for. There are very high quality staff as well as very low. They importer always knows what he paid for. We paid for good quality.
Question: Would a 1 gallon compreesor and a psi of 110 operate this
Answer: Hello, I am very sorry, its a little confusing the way Amazon listings work. This product has a variation with granite stones that is out of stock right now, but the reviews are mixed, on every review says for which product it is for. This whiskey gift box is with stainless steel cubes, exactly like on the pictures in the listing. Still we don't have customers review pictures for this kind. You have the chance to be the first one if you are willing to do it and we will highly appreciated. Hope this was helpful. Thank you very much for reaching us. Happy Holidays and best wishes! Paul
Question: The driver blade broke on my nailer with less than 3 months from date of purchase and light use. What is the correct replacement part number
Answer: Yes, this is not a lead crystal. Still heavy built and strong, but not as heavy as the lead crystal. Lead crystal also would be more expensive, but this not with lead for sure. Thank you for asking.
Question: what gauge nails does this nailer shoot
Answer: In theory, this would probably work as long as you didn't heat them in your microwave. However, we recommend using them for their intended purpose of chilling rather than heating. Cheers! -Doug Frolk Customer Support Specialist
