Answer:	Milwaukee’s 5 year warranty is from the purchase date (from a valid retailer) or from the date code on the tool if you don’t have a proof of purchase from a valid/approved retailer. I’ve had warranty repairs under both circumstances.

Answer:	The shaft is part of the motor and can't be changed. The little circular flanges that hold the wheel laterally are loose and can definitely be exchanged for others.

Answer:	I use it all of the time to remove rust from tools and other metal objects. I also have a buffing/polishing wheel mounted on the other side. It is a very versatile grinder. I'm not sure if it will clean up welds, or not.
