Bonus is that they weigh a bit less so if you really are using it to the battery life in one sitting it wont be so fatiguing. Check around as sometimes its cheaper to buy additional tools with batteries then you have an extra tool and an extra battery.

Answer:	There are 8 tools. What you are seeing is the handle for 6 1/2" Circular Saw. I have this kit and checked the count.
Question:	Will these tools work well on off grid homestead
Answer:	As long as you have a 110 volt source for recharging the batteries they would work fine. But being off the grid I don't know if you have a power source to run the charger?
Question:	Will the 5amp batteries work within kits charger and tools
Answer:	If you're referring to the aftermarket 5.0 amp hour batteries sold FOR the Porter Cable 20v Max system here on Amazon, the answer is YES. And they work great! I have bought 6 of those 5AH batteries here (I think the brand is "PowerExtra.") No looking back. One note on those batteries. If using the PC Rapid Charger.. Sometimes they will cause the charger to throw a "defective battery" flashing light when they're about 2/3 charged. The battery is fine. Answer:	Magnify the image on Amazon. It's eight tools and that one that looks like another tool is actually the battery charger.Btw.. I HIGHLY recommend this set of tools.. Have had a couple or several of every item in this 20v system for over two years.. Reliable, durable, and indispensable!One note.... Be sure to buy a few of the 4.0 amp hour batteries if you intend to do signif projects with these tools

Answer:	I believe I got the charger, and 2 batteries.
Question:	I just received mine & the speed sounds the same regardless of the gear setting. Id think there should be a noticable difference. Is it defective
Answer:	If you are changing speed selector on top (1 or 2), you should notice big difference of speeds, if not return it. Be aware that numbered clutch ring on back of chuck is for clutch settings, not speeds.

Answer:	The voltage on the tool itself is 20 volt direct current (DC). The charger for the battery is 120 VAC (volt alternating current). The tool is cordless and is powered by the battery pack/s.
