Answer:	28mm, with a #2 Phillips attached. You might be OK if you can finagle the bit head into the crew head at an angle, then straighten up to drive. Make sure you have it set in the right direction! I can't think of anything smaller to use, other than a tightly angled 90 degree screw driver. They do exist. You might be screwed!

I have not even purchased larger than 3/8 but it would probably do well. I have used it extensively for tapcons and it did great. A sloppy drill will make poor holes that won't grab. This drill does well with tapcons.
