Answer:	i think the varied answers come from questions getting sent to people who have purchased different sizes. I noticed some of the reviews are also for other models. This item, the WEN 4208 has an 8-inch swing. So, you can drill the center of an 8- inch diameter object, or about 4- inches from drill center to body. The WEN 4210 & the WEN 4212 have 10- inch swings. Anyone trying to drill the center of a 9- inch wheel would need one of these models. This 4208 is a Great drill for the money. i like that the head can be swung over the edge of a work bench, which allows for drilling into long stock. Like into the bottom center of a 36" post. The beveling work table is another great feature & one i did not have on the press this will replace. If you have the space, consider the WEN 4214 with 12-Inch swing. it is still small enough to be bench top, but you can drill the center of 12- inch/ bowls & table tops.

Answer:	Another way to figure out a torque rating of a Dewalt drill is to go to Dewalt's EU site, pick United Kingdom and look at the specs. They list both torque specs in this case. MAX is 70 nm soft is 27 nm converting to 619.55 in-lb and 238.97 in-lb. Hard torque is instant torque delivered. Usually at the start of an application; whereas, soft torque is applied throughout the application like when driving a screw.

Answer:	If you have the bag opening past the lip where the snout bolts on the bag will not come off. I cut the rear snout off behind the flange and put my bag on past the flange and it doesn't loosen. The cinch strap just needs put through the catch properly, with the teeth against the inserted end, so it stays tight.

Answer:	With this drill having a little over 100 in/lbs of torque, when competitors are offering over 1000 in/lbs, I wouldn't trust this to drive anything but the smallest screws.

Answer:	It would not weigh any differently, although it's mass would be lower due to the number of electrons available, which would be around .00000000000000012 g. So if you had 814,000,000,000 it would would have 1 gram of mass less. Which if you were buying trillions of them, you could save several grams as far as shipping weight goes, although it would take 600 million cargo ships to carry that amount, so, unsure if the 1 gram gain would be very noticeable, especially since it would take around 30 billion (each semitrailer carrying 13,567 cartons, which might be a stretch) semitrailer containers (the 24' ones.) The ONLY problem is, that if they even produced, say 1000 drill sets/minute (which also seems a bit high) it would take 1,548,000,000 years to make that many sets. But, if you think that the amount of saved weight is worth it, buy 814,000,000,000,000 drills, use them, box them back up without adding any mass of any sort (including skin cells, which weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 170,000x greater than the mass of an electron) and ship them, you would have shipped the items back with 1g less mass overall. Question:	can it drill 1/4 holes into plastic
Answer:	----Its not the drill, It's the BIT ----Hanson makes particular bits for drilling plastic, with any drill regardless of voltage, and theyre available most any good hardware store or Tap Plastics. They have a particularly pointed tip, so don't ever attempt to ever use them on wood or metal, as doing so would render it crapp for plastic use from then on. I have 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 in my arsenal, and they pretty much cover any plastic, ABS, PVC, and especially Plexi-Glas projects I encounter. Yeah, they're a buck or two higher than regular bits, but they also wont crack your pretty plexi-glas project all to hell like a standard twist drill bit will.
Question:	Does this drill have a built in LED light
Answer:	Yes, it has a light. But it's worse than useless. It lights the area nearby, but casts a shadow on the spot you are drilling. The glare makes it actually harder to see what you're doing.

Answer:	I had an oportunity to use the 18V when I installed the railings on my father in laws staircase. I worked absolutely great but I had to keep switching batteries and kept one on the charger. He got it last Christmas. I told myself then the Dewalt was far superior to the two brands of portable drills I was using that I was going to get a Dewalt for myself. Honestly, when I ordered the 20V I assumed it was the same as my father in law had but his was the 18V. I would be happy with either but the 20V I have is smaller in size and lighter than the 18V that he has. Plus the 20V lithium batteries last a long long time before you have to recharge but then again replacement batteries are expensive. I just used the 20V to build my garage and so far I've only swithed batteries 5 times and that includes all the siding, drywall, wire routing. BTW I use the new star bit screws for everything they are far superior to phillips and I have given all my boxes of phillips screws away; along with my two "other brand" cordless drills.
