Answer: Yes 50 amp breaker will work if you over load it the breaker will open ..if you are not cutting max thickness it will cut 1/4 all day with no problem

Answer: Yes it does. Although I have separate stick welders, so I have neve used this function. I have found this to be a very nice addition to my shop.
