User questions & answers

Question: Can i mount the axtra 8-outlet power strip on the table saw
Answer: Can't see why not. Look online for Garmin-compatible charts, whether from Garmin or not. (My hiking map, with contours and more trails than the USGS maps, was a free download! Look around.) The eTrex models are waterproof, which is a plus. Think seriously about the display size, though. The whole unit fits in the palm of your hand, and its display is only a couple inches high. (See the specs. I might be off a little.) We hikers and hunters can stop and consult the unit, then start walking again. Your boat might travel quite a distance while you peer at that tiny screen, even with the engine stopped. Just a thought.Garmin obviously had boaters in mind when they programmed this, regardless of its size. It even has a "Man Overboard" function that instantly records its current location, then displays the distance and direction back to there while you turn the boat around. It shows tides, too, at whatever tide stations are close to you. Bottom line: it will do everything you need (I think) and do it all day and on into the next morning on a pair of AA cells, but your eyes will ask you why you didn't buy something with a bigger screen.
Question: What are the dimensions of the unit on the stand when closed up. WxHxD? Need to know if it will fit in the storage cubby I have in the garage
Answer: The maps that come preloaded are: Worldwide DEM Basemap (NR), Digital Globe demo (Jnx) and USGS Quads - Grand Canyon National Park (Jnx). Unfortunately, you will have to get the topo maps separately.
Question: Does this saw accept dado blade set
Answer: yes on the compass (electronic) but turn on the WAAS depending on if you set the compass for a true north or magnetic north WAAS gets rid of the errors jumping from satellite to satellite
Question: How good would this saw be for a beginning woodworker on a limited budget
Answer: The Oregon and all the Garmin "state" models all have a touch screen, don't they? The eTrex series doesn't. For controls it has the Power/battery check button and "back button on the right, and on the left, the zoom-in and -out buttons, plus the Menu button. On the front, at top-right, is the main control, a little thumbstick. Use it for scrolling and selecting menu items and for moving the map beyond your location. You'll want to spend some time reading the manual; this thing has a LOT of functionality. Most important shortcut: no matter how deep you go in the menus, double-tapping the Menu button takes you back to the main screen, with Map highlighted.

User questions & answers

Question: does anyone have instructions to put the saw on the stand? #dwe
Answer: You can view or download instructions via https://servicenet.dewalt.com/Products/Detail?productNumber=DW7451
Question: I have the dwe7490. what is the correct stand for that model
Answer: You can order stand #N272401 online or via the following link: https://servicenet.dewalt.com/Parts/Detail/320318
Question: Do the legs adjust for uneven ground
Answer: No, the legs are not adjustable.
Question: Do this stand is foldable pretty easy for transportation
Answer: Yes, it folds up very easily. However, it is bolted to the table saw, and it will not fold when attached, (which is good thing when you are using it!). What I do, when I haul this table saw, is just lay it on its side (with the stand attached) in the bed of the truck. It saves me unbolting the stand to haul it, and bolting it together again to to use it at the job site. The table saw that fits this stand is very light, so moving or lifting it with the stand on is no problem.

User questions & answers

Question: Can A quick connect system be used with this stand
Answer: No. The bolts connect to square nuts in a track, so you won't lose them. The DW723 and DW724 have quick connect systems.
Question: can this stand be used with a dewalt 12" compound sliding miter saw
Answer: Works great with the Dewalt 12" Compound Sliding Miter Saw. That's what I paired it with and it's an awesome combo.
Question: Does the tool stay attached to this stand when storing it or do you have to remove the mounted tool
Answer: Stays on it. Big space saver for me. My tools are in my small garage. Collapses and stands against the wall. Big space saver
Question: Can this stand also be used to mount Dewalts job site table saw
Answer: I understand your question. The description says it is for the Miter Saw and you are asking if it can also be used for a Table saw. They make a separate stand for the table saw. I was curious about the same thing. I’d like to have confirmation of the same thing as I would rather buy one stand for multiple tools as opposed to multiple stands.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this work fine on aDW
Answer: I put a Dado stack on my DW745 all the time. Accualy most of the time. Yes the arbor isn't long like others, so you're unable to fit the whole stack but i put almost a 1/2" stack and it fits perfectly without the washer and just the bolt to tighten it. But anything less than 1/2" stack, you're able to fit the washer and bolt on the arbor with the stack for tightening. hope that helped with the second part. So others say Yes it fits and i say Yes your able to put up to a certain thickness of a dado stack in ur dw745 from daily personal experience. the DW745 was my first and only table saw i've had and i'm going 2yrs strong beating the hell out of it.
Question: Is this really necessary for a dado? i have a dewalt 10" saw. can't i just remove stock plate and cut
Answer: I am going answer your question by asking a question. How much do you know about sawing wood? How much do you know about how a table saw works? You asked this question and I fear for your safety. Quick answer, yes a throat plate on any saw with dado blades is a requirement if you value your fingers or eyes. The intent of a throat plate on a saw is to insure a level, smooth surface whilst the blade (along with the motor) does the job of spinning the blade to cut the wood. I'm moy pm
Question: How large of a dado does this plate support? Some people have complained about plates that only support 3/8" dadoes when the saw itself can use
Answer: the plate it self is able to cut up to 13/16''. that's not the problem, the problem is the arbor that supports the blades are not long enough. So check your saw to see if the length of the arbor will hold 3/4 dados. Hope this helps
Question: What is the difference between the DeWalt 7480 and DeWalt 7490 tablesaw to see if the DWE7402DI throatplate will work
Answer: My research found that..."The DEWALT DWE7402DI Dado Throatplate for 10" Portable Table Saw allows for use of stacked dado cutters. This insert is designed to be used with DWE7490 and DWE7491 Table saw versions." Seems to me that the older model throat plate would fit the 7480's, and this one will fit the 7490's.
