Answer:	hi, it can't work on metal, This engraving machine can be engraved plastic, wood, acrylic, pvc, pcb, wood or the like material. thanks.
Question:	Will this machine cut out dollhouse furniture parts from wood
Answer:	Straight out of the box ... no. With modifications and upgrades ... yes. You wouldn’t want to cut the aluminum bed by mistake so a spoil board is a must. The spoil board should be milled flat and level. The collet that comes with the machine is 1/8”. You would probably need a 1/4” at a minimum for any serious work. The spindle motor works but is not very powerful. You will have to make multiple cuts to get all the way through pine or hardwood. The free software is engraving software. You would need to get real cad/cam software to create the tool paths to make a 3D part. The machine is very basic. What is there is a good starting point. I’ve been having fun playing with it and upgrading it.

Question:	Hello can this machine cut as well as engrave
Answer:	Yes and no. It's NOT a router. Don't expect it to cut profiles out of 3/4" plywood. You could cut thin materials with it using the right bit, but you'll have a hard time finding 1/8" shank router bits at the hardware store. With the right bit, a good setup, and the proper programming to make shallow (0.005" or less) passes it can cut shapes out of wood or plastic. It will take a long time, but it can be done. I wouldn't recommend it if you're material is over 1/2" thick. If you want to make things out of thicker material you should look into CNC routers.

Answer:	sure but this is a table saw tool a lot of cheaper push blocks will work for a router table

Answer:	Yes. The one I ordered did come with the instructional DVD.
Question:	Is the advanced version really that better than the version without the stabilizer add-on
Answer:	The advanced version can do a few things that the other one can't. Is it worth a few dollars to be able to use it a few more ways depends on what those few dollars are worth to you. I bought one of each, as you need two to handle longer things on a small table. This way I split the savings (or cost) a bit. Not the smartest answer, but it worked for me.
Question:	How wide of a cut can you make with the GR200 and what is the practical cut width limit - i.e. at what width is it better to use the saw blade guard
Answer:	I'm assuming that you mean making a cut while spanning the GRR-Ripper over the blade. None of the following measurements allow for blade clearance, so your actual ripping widths will be reduced by that clearance amount. Maximum distance from fence to inside edge of GRR-Ripper is 3-3/8 inches. Attaching the accessory gripper foot against the fence adds an inch, totalling 4-3/8. Mounting the stabilizing leg instead adds just under 2 inches, totalling ~5-5/16. I suppose you could add the flat accessory plate, gaining several inches, but the rig will easily skew against the fence and there is absolutely no reason to pass over the blade at that point anyway; it's just unnecessarily dangerous and the basic GRR-Ripper should be used as a conventional push block alongside the blade. To summarize, you can rip widths from about 1/4 inch (between blade and fence, as shown in their demos, though that gets the blade very close to plastic) up to about 3-1/4 inches with minimal blade clearance if you're very careful. Mounting the accessories takes that width to about 5-1/8. The GRR-Ripper is 3-5/8 outside width, so it's just as easy to go beside the blade at that width, and probably more stable. The height of the GRR-Ripper, when passing alongside the blade, keeps your knuckles farther from danger; mine are about 2-3/8 inches above the surface of the stock, so unless I just wildly throw my hand into the blade, I feel safer than feeding with a conventional push block, or certainly bare hands.If you do call your clearances too close and cut the plastic, there's no harm done beyond some expensive replacement parts.As a side note, if you want to play Jack the Ripper, you can allow the blade to protrude a full inch above your stock before it cuts into the top of your GRR-Ripper.I've said this before, but this is such a great product, superbly made, that I can't imagine risking my hands with unwieldy push sticks and short push blocks. I cut my left index finger with a knife in a moment of utter stupidity and have some joint and nerve damage. Every time I used typical long, wobbling push sticks, I had a thousand questions per second about where the saw was going to throw the wood--or the stick--when something slipped, and where my hands would fall in the confusion. With two GRR-Rippers, I am as comfortable at the saw as I am resting my hands on the kitchen counter. Total stability and confidence. Buy two, use them wisely, and keep your hands to hold your great-grandchildren.

Question:	What are the best bits to use on this
Answer:	I use amana and yorico 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 straight up and down cut bits to cut 1/16” inlays using primarily red maple, walnut, padauk, yellow and purple heart, as well as good Finnish birch ply. Although the spindle is quiet it’s not very strong so I generally limit depth of each pass to .005”. I also use amana 1/4 and 1/2” 60 degree bits to inscribe in walnut.

Question:	What rpm, feed rate, and plunge rate should i use with this? i'm running a shapeoko xl
Answer:	It really depends on the wood you are using. Harder woods you want your plunge rate I usually will drop it to 30in a minute, so you don’t break the tip. I usually run about 14000-15000 rpms. Feed rate of 60-70in a minute depending on type of wood and depth of cut. In addition how much material you are removing at a time, usually about 6% of tip diameter. In some cases you can go faster but take your time and do it right. This is one of my favorite bits to use very clean engravings. I wanted to post a picture but it won’t let me.
