We’ve found that even on high-end saws, the miter gauge is sometimes not the best it could be – a situation easily resolved by the folks at Kreg. You probably know them for their ingenious pocket hole system, but this miter gauge is worthy of fame in its own right.

It’s not like any we’ve seen before, with a handful of features that work together to give you the ability to set an angle cut accurately to 1/10th of a degree – and beyond that, to adjust to 1/100th of a degree (hats off to you if you’re that precise!)

Setup takes a little bit of time and patience, but the results are well worth it. It’s got a super accurate length scale with a magnifying lens cursor, similar to those on good table saws, and the curved flip stop can be used with the fence as is, or you and a pair of pliers can modify it easily for permanent use with a sacrificial fence. This clever curved design lets you slide your stock right under it. The slot bar has five patented nylon screws along its length that let you custom fit it to your table saw slot, completely eliminating any play.

It’s got the positive stops you expect, at 0, 22.5, 30 and 45 degrees, and they’re marked by preset holes that accept a tapered brass pin, which locks in the angle with absolute precision. The gauge is marked with diamonds every five degrees for great legibility, too. But what sets this gauge apart from the pack is its Vernier scale, allowing you to set any angle in tenth-of-a-degree increments. Unless you have a degree in mathematics, don’t try to understand the process – it’s confusing and non-intuitive. Instead, just follow the step-by-step directions, and you’ll get absolute accuracy every time.

And when Kreg calls something a "micro-adjustment" mechanism, they really mean micro. With this miter gauge, you can actually increase your angle by 1/100th of a degree by turning a nylon screw that increases the space between the fence and the gauge. For each .001 inch you put between the fence and gauge, you increase your angle by 1/100th of a degree.

Question:	Will this miter gauge fit the slot in a Sears
Answer:	The bit itself will last a lifetime as long as you do not abuse it or break the tip off. HOWEVER, regardless of what some have stated here, the sharpness of the bit itself is relative to the types of wood you use. In soft woods such as pine, it will stay sharp for quite sometime. However if it is used in woods that are abrasive such as qrt sawn white oak, or white oak in general, Bubinga, Purple Heart or other such woods, it will dull quickly and have to be sharpened. You can send the bit to Kreg and they will sharpen it for you for $10.00 bucks plus $10.00 shipping. That's $20.00bucks, but when you add in what it us going to cost to ship that one bit to them, which right now is $7.13 you are going to pay $27.13 for a bit that you can buy for much less. As a PROFESSIONAL Master Joiner and Cabinet Maker, I use this system quite regularly and have done so since Kreg first began to sell them. I know how to sharpen them and do not send them out, nor would I. It's not cost efficient.
Question:	Will this item work on a grizzly table saw go
Answer:	The "extra items" are some screws & plugs. Yes, there is some value, but it is limited. The K5 is an easier tool to use and you will need to purchase many more screws & plugs according to the way you use it. A handful of screws & plugs is nice to give you some idea of what is available, but will not last long. Frankly, I don't understand why they still price the 4 & 5 the same, or, even why the 4 is still offered.
Question:	Would this be good at doing wider board crosscuts
Answer:	I've used and owned various Kreg jigs (K2000, K3, K4 and K5). They have gotten better with each new model. An exception to this was the K3 versus the K4. I liked the K3 better than the K4 because of the clamping lever in the front (K3) versus the back (K4). The K2000 also had the lever in the back. It is better to have the clamping lever in the front especially when working with larger work pieces. It is good to see Kreg go back to the front lever. I like the K5 best because of the ratcheting clamp. You don't get a face clamp like you do with the K4MS Jig Master System, but the Automaxx clamps are better anyway. I like the 6" better than the 3" clamp. The right angle clamp works great for assembling cabinets also. If you are going to be doing small work (1/2" or less) get the Micro Drill Guide and large work (11/2" & larger) get the HD Jig. They will fit in the K3,K4, or K5 Jigs. To make a long story short get the K5 Jig over the K4 Jig.

Question:	What is the max height setting in inches
Answer:	I have a metabo table saw and found that this featherboard sorta fits my metabo with a bit of modification. Basically there's a difference between European and US conventions. US use 1/2" runners with 3/4" keying. European uses something smaller and metric. To modify this, it's necessary to use a file on the smaller plastic parts so that they fit the slots. Alternatively, if you have a 3D printer, there is a metabo rail available for printing from Thingiverse.

Answer:	The bottle can be put in freezer. However, the bottle is vacuum insulated which means the temperature out of the bottle will not affect drink inside much. The better way to use it is to put the drinks in freezer. After the drink gets cold, put it in the bottle when you go out.

Question:	What can you mount to the tracks on the table sides? Would like to mount a vise or clamps
Answer:	Can’t imagine why you would put a caster on this saw horse. The plastic feet would not hold a screw. The legs are designed to fold up into the saw horse body for storage. A caster would stop the legs from folding as designed. The work platform is very stable as is. A caster would just destabilize it. So I would say,there is no recommended caster.

Answer:	You mean if it gets on the unit? I suppose like any bench it would depend on the glue. I’ve had wood glue spill on mine and it comes right off. If you spill a resin or welding glue, especially on the plastic, I bet it would be permanent.

Answer:	Although there isn't anything integrated into the Mobile Project Center allowing you to hang it to a wall. You would need to have brackets that are strong enough to hold the weight of the product in order to do so.

Answer:	It will "work" for that application once in a while but it would be much too tall for everyday use. You'd be better off with the Dewalt folding table saw table that works great for that saw. Super light weight and compact when folded and perfect height.

Answer:	Depending on your brand of bandsaw, you may need to drill and tap two mounting holes. You might get by with just drilling holes in the edge of the bandsaw table and using nuts and bolts with lockwashers. You will need to provide tools and any nuts, bolts & washers.

Answer:	Jake - Although this fence is very adaptable, it may not fit your Grizzly 17" band saw. It was designed for a 14" saw and therefore may not give you a full range of use (to the end of the table.)

Question:	Does this item work with the Kreg PRS1040 router table
Answer:	I have the two-step version and the height is 10 inches from floor to top of first step, and the same distance between the first and second step. I use the very sturdy side handles to help me onto both. I am 70 years old and feel very safe and secure on this step ladder.
Question:	I bought the Kreg PRS1040 and will make the cabinet shown on the Kreg website. Can this be mounted outside of the right leg
Answer:	I would not stand on the top step to perform some sort of task unless there is a wall or something you can hold on to. And even then I would prefer to use some sort of other step ladder. I use this to climb into my boat when it is on the trailer and use all the steps with confidence. The best use for this type of ladder system is for climbing into something or to a next level but I would not recommend it in place of a handyman step ladder to perform tasks when reaching out or overhead.
Question:	can this switch be plugged in a 20 amp circuit
Answer:	Yes. You'll need to provide a platform to mount the corners to each other or you'd need to attach each to the machine corners.
Question:	Is the switch rated for 3 1/4 hp routers - like the TritonTRA
Answer:	The height added by the mobile base is a function of the thickness of the plywood that is used. For 3/4 inch plywood, the total height of the base is about 1 3/8 inches. If you wanted to increase height without using thicker plywood, a shim could be added between the plywood platform and the lower metal corners.
Question:	Is this a magnetic switch so u don't have accidental startop in case of a power failure
Answer:	There's not much clearance under the wheels. Maybe your floor is uneven?
Question:	Will this git a Rikon 10-306 10 band saw
Answer:	Are you sure you installed plywood base correctly ( at least 3/4 cd). Pay attention to front wheel pivoting brackets , I almost installed upside down. If so wheels will not down cam down and lift platform. Rear wheels always clear floor , only front wheels lift off off adjustable feet to move. I have a large drill press on mine and it moves effortlessly. .
Question:	Do I need anything else
Answer:	It does not. It's a pivoting seat that moves very easily, I wouldn't place anything on or in it.
Question:	Will this fit a Grizzly G0513 17" bandsaw? I'm not opposed to making "modifications" if necessary
