Answer:	You can use it to buff wood if you know what you're doing. You need the correct compound and correct buffing wheel, plus a gentle hand. Part of the problem of buffing wood on this machine, is that the speed is too fast, so you run the risk of scorching the wood, especially if you apply too much pressure. It is preferable to buff wood on a slower machine, i.e. 1750 rpm or slower.

Answer:	It could if you had a way of holding whatever you want to polish. The buffing wheels weren’t up to standard and the polishing compounds were dried out. The machine itself was fine.

Answer:	I do not know how many wires this wheel brush has but by looking at the Forney web site this wheel has .008" wire size which seems to be the finest size they make.

Answer:	When I opened the package, I did not see the reducing bushing. I thought it fell out somewhere on the ground where I opened the package. When I installed this wheel on my 1/2 inch shaft grinder, it fit just fine. After 10 minutes of use, my grinder stopped working. I finally realized that the 1/2" to 5/8" reducing bushing was installed and is made out of plastic. It split and was the cause of my problem. I do not suggest using this wheel on a 1/2 inch shaft. Grinders can be dangerous if used improperly, this is not something to take lightly.

It doesn't heat your edges up quickly.

Answer:	No, as long as the wheel support washers will clamp the buff. If you run out of threads when clamping, use two buffing wheels. You may need to remove the grinder guard, to be able to use the wheels for buffing. Wear a face shield, to protect from thrown buffing compound and wheel lint. I also wear a ball cap and apron. buffing is messy.
