14 best kreg jig deck
A Kreg Jig deck is a tool and accessory used in woodworking and construction projects, particularly for building decks and outdoor structures. The Kreg Jig system is well-known for its pocket hole joinery technique, which allows for strong and hidden connections between pieces of wood. Here's some information about the Kreg Jig deck and its related accessories:
Pocket Hole Joinery: The Kreg Jig system, including the Kreg Jig deck, is designed to create pocket holes in wood pieces. These pocket holes enable you to join boards together with screws, creating secure and clean-looking connections. It's commonly used for deck construction, as it provides a reliable method for attaching deck boards to the underlying frame.
Deck Building: When building a deck, the Kreg Jig deck can be used to create pocket holes in the deck boards and frame members. This ensures that the deck boards are securely fastened, reducing the risk of warping or cupping over time.
Ease of Use: The Kreg Jig deck is designed to be user-friendly, making it accessible for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts. It typically includes guides and clamping mechanisms to hold the workpiece in place while drilling the pocket holes.
Versatility: In addition to deck building, the Kreg Jig system can be used for a wide range of woodworking projects, such as furniture construction, cabinetmaking, and more. This versatility makes it a valuable tool for those who work with wood regularly.
Accessories: Kreg offers a variety of accessories to complement the Kreg Jig system. These may include specialized drill bits, screws, clamps, and measuring tools. These accessories help users achieve precise and consistent results in their woodworking projects.
Durability: Kreg Jig products are typically constructed from durable materials, ensuring longevity and reliability in the workshop or on the job site.
Availability: Kreg Jig products and accessories can be found in many hardware stores, home improvement centers, and online retailers, making them readily accessible to a wide range of customers.
In summary, the Kreg Jig deck and the broader Kreg Jig system are valuable tools for woodworking and construction, particularly in the context of deck building. They simplify the process of creating strong, concealed connections in wood, enhancing the overall quality and durability of projects.

Create a better, more-beautiful deck with the Kreg Deck Jig . This concealed-fastening system works together with Kreg Deck Screws to allow you to install decking without visible fasteners, so all you see is the beauty of your decking instead of a bunch of screws. The Deck Jig features hardened-steel guides to drill precisely positioned pilot holes, and to guide Deck Screws to attach decking from the edge solidly and invisibly—whether you’re using solid-wood or composite deck boards. The Deck Jig makes drilling the stepped pilot holes and driving screws easy in all situations thanks to three hardened-steel guides—one at 90° to the board edge, and two at opposing 45° angles—that allow easy access when working near walls, as well as when creating strong joints where boards butt together end to end. The stepped drill bit creates a perfectly positioned pocket hole and clearance hole for the Kreg Deck Screw, while a stop collar ensures prefect drilling depth. After drilling, just drop a Kreg Deck Screw—an integral part of this concealed-fastening system—into the same guide, and then drive it with the included square-drive driver bit. It’s equipped with a stop collar, too, to ensure that the self-tapping, case-hardened screw gets driven to the perfect depth. The aggressive threads bite securely into the joist, while the smooth upper shank and flat-bottom head work together to pull the deck board tightly into place. The Deck Jig Concealed-Fastener System works with composite decking, as well as solid-wood decking such as cedar, hardwoods, and pressure-treated wood—kiln-dried after treatment (KDAT) recommended.
- The Kreg Deck Jig helps you get the deck you want, without any unsightly exposed nails or screws
- Hardened-steel drill guides keep the stepped drill bit and driver bit at the precise, optimal angle
- Three hardened-steel drill guides let you install deck boards in a variety of hard-to-reach areas
- Works with composite decking, as well as solid-wood decking such as cedar, hardwoods, and pressure-treated wood—kiln-dried after treatment (KDAT) recommended
- Easy-grip handle gives you a secure hold and complete control over each and every joint
User questions & answers
Question: | Can I use narrower spacers, let's say |
Answer: | Not sure but as long as the diameter of your exercise bike handlebar is comparable to that of a standard bike, I assume this extension can be used. |
Question: | can this work with 2x4/2x6 (1 1/2 inch width) wood |
Answer: | They are aluminum, they seem very strong. In the other hand the bar doesn't seem to be as strong as the joining pieces. I have it mounted on my bike with two lights, and use it to rest my hands when riding my road bike. |
Question: | How this better as compare to camo pro-x1 guide |
Answer: | Hello, Install the handlebar extender to your bicycle handlebar, add extra storage space for the bicycle to fix bicycle lights, speedometers,GPS or phone holders, etc. The length of the bicycle extender is 25 cm, suitable for bicycles with handlebar diameter between 18-34mm. For details, please check the second size picture and the fourth product usage picture |
Question: | Has anyone had problem fitting the screws through the jig? i bought the kreg deck screws, and do not fit. they also are not square drive |
Answer: | Hi, our bike handlebar extender suitable for bicycles with handlebar diameter between 18-34 mm. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How deep does the tongue piece go |
Answer: | Both systems work in generally the same way, being that they drive a screw at an angle through the guide. The benefit is that your deck boards are attached without a visible screw. The Kreg system has two advantages that made me choose it over the Camo system. The first is that the jig itself is much more substantial. You are able to but a lot of weight into the jig, which helps you manipulate your deck boards. This is important as deck boards are rarely true; they typically require some bending along one or two edges. The second big advantage is that the Kreg jig allows you to attach screws at an angle, which is nice when you're at the edge of a board or have an attachment point that isn't necessarily at 90-degrees to the deck board. |
Question: | Do they float in water |
Answer: | Hello, We do apologize for the inconvenience, and yes there has been a few cases where the screws do not fit through the bushings. Also, the head of the screws were never a square drive. Please contact technical support at 1800-447-8638 if you are experiencing any issues with our product. Thanks! |

User questions & answers
Question: | does Kreg's make a T-15 drive bit for the deck jig |
Answer: | I'm not sure I understand the question. The screws are flat-head, so they won't protrude, and they are chrome in color, and of course they have the Philips head markings on them so they can be screwed in. I'm not sure what you mean by "clean," however. I have ordered them myself, and they are not "dirty," if that's what you're asking! The question you need to ask is what is the proper length and gauge for the work you're doing. |

Question: | I am needing a jig for 4(in.)x4(in.)x10(ft.) wood post. i realize this wouldn't work, but can anyone recommend one that can? thanks in advance |
Answer: | As it states in the description, deflects chips and connect 2 grippers for better control of large pieces. Check the video: https://d1y6jrbzotnyjg.cloudfront.net/V3MSA/cfd7863774ee4067ae4a3c816a4fd10e/V1/ad7607ded66c4f77898c5981786beb86/ShortForm-Generic-480p-16-9-1409173089793-rpcbe5.mp4?Expires=1552759553&Signature=TXTx0fF1p4Uzt68tNOVHzaO1K4UUbz1qJoX9WVsDe~ReJnbou3MLRqyMf2qM06MydXQMud4lf2zChbFp-YQbr7t731MJ2pn~tgK64bjXMcE1ko8UnnYlzgaBtLVGA4l4YXyBvhEk9ZREzLwvu0hXURT9-OHG-TkCcq1XN-stsmg_&Key-Pair-Id=APKAJ62XWKZ35EOVO4XA |
Question: | Is it possible to use this kit with material thicker than 1-1/2 inches? I ask because the site offers spacer blocks for user with "thicker" material. It would be nice to use the kit on 2x4s for example |
Answer: | The "deflector plate" is actually a gravity operated "heel" that simply drops down and hooks on the material you are pushing. There's considerable grip in the rubber pad portion of the push block, but when you reach the end of a board or similar, the heel drops down and catches on the edge of wood, permitting easy/secure push through of the wood. |
Question: | how would i get a long piece of wood to position in the clamp, like an 8ft 2x4? I see short pieces stand up in the jig, would a long board be flimsy |
Answer: | We have a video showing how to build a GRR-RIP BLOCK Stand that magnetically mounts to your jointer! Watch it on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/3qUBe90H-Q8 |
Question: | What country is this made in |
Answer: | I don't have the Bench Dogs push pad but I do own 2 of these Gripper pads as well as several "plain" push pads. In my experience, the GRR-Rip Block is different in 2 ways. The Gripper has 4 "heel hooks" that hang over the edge of your work piece to get a better push on the end stock. And it can also be used on its edge (it have been formed with a 90 degree angle) so you can push stock on a router table or to stabilize wood while re-sawing on a band saw (and this is where those hooks really help). But the price of the Gripper is 2-1/2 times the Bench Dog, so the question would be: is the GRR-Rip Blockr twice as good as the Bench Dog. And I would probably say no to that. But the ultimate decision is of course yours. Hope this helped. |

Question: | Replacing 10yr old 1.25" overlay euro hinges w/ blum b039c355b.20 1.25" o-lay soft close: exist. hole too shallow, will this jig have correct depth |
Answer: | The KREG SDK-C2SS-700 2-Inch, #8 Coarse are Stainless Steel Screws. These are a great buy at $56.99 for a quantity of 700. If you priced Stainless Steel Deck Screws at Home Depot they would cost you a small fortune. |
Question: | Is it possible to use 35mm concealed hinges on a door with a 1x2 frame? I keep drilling through the edges no matter what setting I try |
Answer: | The screws P/N SDK-C2SS-700 are made in Taiwan. We constructed a 25ft X 30ft deck with ACQ/QCA materials, and consumed approximately 6 boxes of 700ct kreg screws using the Kreg drivers with no problems with the drive, or breaking off. |
Question: | According to amazon, $29 option includes jig and 35mm bit(see more prod' details)why wld i want $44 or $45 option? what's different or extra |
Answer: | Don't know, but if I were to guess I would say the lesser grade "304" otherwise Kreg would probably advertise them as "316." |
Question: | Does this come with the drill bit |
Answer: | Hello,The answer is no unless you move the jig for every hole you need to drill. Like Jeff said you would have to improvise for this size of handle. Thanks,Josh |
