This is important as deck boards are rarely true; they typically require some bending along one or two edges. The second big advantage is that the Kreg jig allows you to attach screws at an angle, which is nice when you're at the edge of a board or have an attachment point that isn't necessarily at 90-degrees to the deck board. |

The screws are flat-head, so they won't protrude, and they are chrome in color, and of course they have the Philips head markings on them so they can be screwed in. I'm not sure what you mean by "clean," however. I have ordered them myself, and they are not "dirty," if that's what you're asking! The question you need to ask is what is the proper length and gauge for the work you're doing. |

| Answer: | The "deflector plate" is actually a gravity operated "heel" that simply drops down and hooks on the material you are pushing. There's considerable grip in the rubber pad portion of the push block, but when you reach the end of a board or similar, the heel drops down and catches on the edge of wood, permitting easy/secure push through of the wood. |

| Answer: | I don't have the Bench Dogs push pad but I do own 2 of these Gripper pads as well as several "plain" push pads. In my experience, the GRR-Rip Block is different in 2 ways. The Gripper has 4 "heel hooks" that hang over the edge of your work piece to get a better push on the end stock. And it can also be used on its edge (it have been formed with a 90 degree angle) so you can push stock on a router table or to stabilize wood while re-sawing on a band saw (and this is where those hooks really help). But the price of the Gripper is 2-1/2 times the Bench Dog, so the question would be: is the GRR-Rip Blockr twice as good as the Bench Dog. And I would probably say no to that. But the ultimate decision is of course yours. Hope this helped. |

| Answer: | The screws P/N SDK-C2SS-700 are made in Taiwan. We constructed a 25ft X 30ft deck with ACQ/QCA materials, and consumed approximately 6 boxes of 700ct kreg screws using the Kreg drivers with no problems with the drive, or breaking off. |
