Since the FlexVolt battery is backwards compatible to the 20V Max tools and chargers, I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work. In other words, anything you can attach a 20V Max battery to, you can also attach a FlexVolt. Good luck.

NOTE: A DIY-minded individual could do this: get a cigarette lighter socket (salvage, or $10). Connect those leads to this battery. Pop in a USB car charger of any size you like ($10, and they're made to handle voltages up to ~18-20V and these batteries don't really output 20V, since they're rounding up those 3.65v cells to 20v and summing the set). In theory, since it draws 3A AC, you could run it on a 400 watt inverter plugged into a lighter socket. I haven't tested that.

Question: Where is this made
Answer: A lot of newer chargers have this problem / feature. If voltage is that low there is a chance that the battery is dead and the charger does not want to put a high current into it and melt it. The best you can do is to use and old fashioned charger to bring the charge up to the low threshold for 12V charging. Some chargers require at least 10.5V before a microprocessor controlled battery will start charging it. What the the exact number of volts that would be the minimum...That I don't know.

Answer: The SC1359 passes the regulations for the department of energy - meaning it takes less power to operate then the SSC-1500A

Answer: No. You hook it up to your car battery as directed, then plug it into an outlet. It runs on the electric power from your house. It doesnt store power like the lithium battery style charger/jumpstarters do. There are pros and cons to each type.

Answer: Watts=Volts*Amps so 120v*3.6a=432w. You should be fine...

Answer: Make sure your battery is fully charged. This brushless tools aren't as energy efficient as advertised. I use the little 2 Amp Hour XR batteries and I get a solid 30 to 35 minutes max of non stop sanding before I need to swap batteries. If you have still have your issue with a fully charged battery, return the unit.

Answer: Most univeral 8 hole paper works fine. Get any grit you need.

Answer: You can hook this up to any vacuum that uses a 1-1/4" nozzle (standard shop vac size) using ASIN B00CB216M6 and these clamps B00XAKHK2I (just search those codes, and you'll see the items).

Answer: I just ordered a pack of Mestool 120 grit for the sander. You just want to make sure the hole pattern of the discs line up with those in the sander’s pad.

Answer: The cord is approximately 6.6' in length.
Question: Can this be used to sand a car
Answer: I don't know why not. We wear out at least two of these sanders a year in our shop and we use them to sand wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel daily, and sometimes other types of material as well. If you sand a car this sander would not be suitable for wet finish sanding as it is not sealed for that purpose.

Answer: The 5 amp will last longer, as other commenters stated. I use 3 amp, 4 amp, & 5 amp. I don't use my Dewalt tools heavily. I would use 2 amp batteries for worklights, vacuums, and other "low draw" tools.

Answer: The charger I have lists only 120 volt input, so I say no you can not use 220 volt input to charge the battery.
