Question:	Is there an extension for greater depth
Answer:	Woodcraft sells forstner extensions; #145706 - 4", # 148000 - 10". These are for a bit with a 1/2" shaft; the Steelex has a half inch shaft. The 4" extension is about 8 bucks, the 10" is about 20 bucks. I considered buying them, but have not. They theoretically should work, BUT. based upon my experience with big Forstner bits, I would exercise caution with extensions.

Question:	Are these sharp out of the box
Answer:	Yes, they are extremely sharp. They fit in the box pretty tight, use a pair of plyers or gloves so you don't cut yourself.
Question:	Would you recommend using these with an impact driller
Answer:	These are good...but not that good. These work best with a drill press, or a regular drill. There is no advantage to using an impact drill when using these. In fact, I am guessing that that will probably give varied results in the true hole size. I know that using standard drill bits with an impact driver results in holes being 1/32 larger than what the bit size indicates.
Question:	What is the shank size of the bit? I have a 3/8" drill, will they fit
Answer:	The shank measures .374. Yes they will fit a 3/8 drill Chuck.
Question:	Is this a 1/4 inch hex shaft
Answer:	Sizes 1/4 to 1 inch have a 3/8 inch round shaft. Sizes 11/8 to 21/8 have a 11/32 (AF) hex shaft.

Answer:	Any ruptutre to the surface of tempered glass will cause it to come apart in to "un popped pop corn" pieces, so the answer is NO!!

Question:	Are these made in the USA
Answer:	I don't think they are. I don't have the box they arrived in, but I think they are from China. I have used are very good, roughly the same quality as the Hickory ones I have. They are very sharp and cut very smooth. I mostly use them with a drill press, although I used a 1 1/16 with a cordless had drill and it did the job very well.

Answer:	It brings several burs and disks. I'm not sure if there is a actual metal cutting disk in the kit because the package is seal.

Answer:	Yes and our you're able to get it to fit (since dremel is bigger) then it works. You also have to modify one of the collets a little to accept the square line running inside the flex shaft. I've been using mine with this for about a year. Expect a bit of drag since this isn't a powerful rotary tool. Best if used with variable speed tool. Use at your own risk though
Question:	are these suitable for plywood, the brad points I have used load-up at the tip and won't drill through
Answer:	Of course, sanding leather would be damaging! However, gently buffing leather with a soft attachment might give it luster. What effect did you want?
Question:	Does it have 25/64 bits included
Answer:	No... This is not a heavy duty item. It is OK for working on model airplanes and ships and such but for working on tile floors you need something a lot bigger. Also, this thing vibrates like all hell. I cannot use it for more than a minute or so at a time without your fingers going numb.

Question:	Can I use this bit to drill through a cement veneer
Answer:	Don't know what you mean by cement veneer but this bit would cut thrugh something like Hardy Board. But it would dull very quickly...maybe you'd get 5 holes.
Question:	Does this cut a clean hole in hardwood or plywood? Fine woodworking or construction
Answer:	This would cut a clean hole in both plywood and hardwood, but if used for drilling plywood, the glue, knots and embedded grit in the material will dull the cutting edge quicker than if used on solid lumber. Forstner bits are best suited for cabinet work, whereas hole saws and spade bits are a better choice for construction because they are less expensive and cut more aggressively. Incidentally, Forstner bits work best when used in a drill press.
Question:	does this cut a 3" diameter flat bottom hole
Answer:	Yes, the bottom is flat but the diameter could be slightly larger than 3".
Question:	is it a 3/8" shank and 3-1/2" long, or 1/2" shank and 6-1/4"? the product bullets at the top of the page contradict the description below
Answer:	Do me a favor and let me know if you find any with a 1/2" × 6 1/4". Our manufacturer says they don't sell them anymore and the ones they do sell aren't any good with MDF 1 3/4 Doors. Thanx

Question:	Have you fixed the center punched not fitting in the bushings and the holes not being the correct size
Answer:	No. The center punch was so locked into one of the bushings, I simply through the whole kit away. Strangely, I found an older version of this same make stuck in the draw of my shop. It must have been there for at least 10 years. And ---- it worked flawlessly. It seems the company who makes this let loose of some of their quality control standards.
Question:	Have you fixed the center punched not fitting in the bushings, the off center holes, rough machining and the holes not being the correct size
Answer:	I’ll try to answer - got the unit to drill holes for mirrors and arm rests on our golf cart - had to drill into thin square tubing. The only issue I had was the plastic holder nearly cracking when I clamped it to the tubing. Otherwise, all went well. I think the plastic holder will not last much longer. I may try to make my own holder from steel.
