User questions & answers

Question: Can it screw on to a pole handle
Answer: I am not sure but it is sharp as heck. When I opened mine there was no blade protector on it and I immediately punctured my thumb and it was deep so I bled it and dried it and had to use superglue to stop it. Very excellent saw!
Question: Does the pole handle come with the saw? If not what is its title for ordering and its cost
Answer: Here are the dimensions of the attaching end of my Bahco 14" pruning saw. It is tubular, 1.0" inner diameter, 1.16" outer diameter. No idea if it fits over or inside a newer extension pole. I adapted mine to fit a 20 year old extension pole. It is a great saw, sharp - and it stays sharp. Hope that helped.

User questions & answers

Question: I thought these were made in portugal? listing says china. i heard the chinese blades are junk
Answer: Of course this can be sharpened; all saw hand-saw blades are able to be sharpened; a hack-saw blade would be the exception; the cost of having something like this sharpened is probably between $6.00 and $8.00, so you would do well to to do it yourself; Please search 'sharpen a bow saw blade' on your favorite search engine or on the DIY video channels such as you-know-who-tube. Ideally, order two or three blades, and keep two spare sharp blades; then, once a year, get all your tools and skills out, turn on the radio, and have a sharpening party: mower, chain-saw, hand-saw, yard-equipment blades, etc; a dremel is good; good eyesight; good light; a work-bench, and a stool; the other part of sharpening a blade like this is bending each tang back into place with a tool that holds a tang (small pointy pliers can do it if you are careful). There are guys who do this for a living and it usually works like this: you drop your stuff of at the guy's shop and come back a week later; here in SouthEast, we can leave our blades (or chains)off at an actual hardware store, and pick it up the next Tuesday; So, invest in spares, and take advantage of that at a hardware store near you.
Question: Can this blade work as well on dry wood
Answer: It is a 25mm(Diameter) tube handle without thread, so it is cant screw on a pole handle..
Question: does this blade fit the green thumb bow saw
Answer: It is pole saw head only. However, currently, the pole is out if stock,we cant quote the price for u right now.
Question: Can this blade be resharpened? eventually all blades become dull
Answer: I bought this blade last year and was very pleased with it's cuts...i cut a lot of branches using a pole extender and saving me a few hundred dollars and will buy another for my shorter pole this year.

User questions & answers

Question: Where are these made
Answer: The handle does not rotate.
Question: whats the length of handles medium vs small
Answer: No it will not screw in. However, I saw a man who drilled hole, example mop, and put bolt through saw and pole. Option B) I used duck tape on saw and example mop. So far it has worked very well for me.
Question: My Bahco pruner blades stick. How do I loosen
Answer: Those items are made by Bahco MFr. We no longer carry their items. So I'm not sure if they are made in Europe where the original mfr used to be 30 years ago. Or if they have some items made in China. I'm sorry we are not sure anymore.
Question: Does the handle rotate
Answer: Not sure of the origin. Blade worked fine for my occasional use
Question: Will this saw screw onto a standard threaded pole used for brooms, mops, etc
Answer: It seems to work well with either dry or green wood.
Question: What is the model number and country of manufacture
Answer: It should, I use the 36" long blades. Don't know which length you need. Seems like the Green Thumb uses a 21" which Bahco makes.

Question: does it have mm marking or only inch
Answer: Mine has both. Inches on one side and mm on the other.
Question: Where is it made
Answer: Spain, same as Snap-on’s version
Question: Why is this not available for shipping to California? Its a normal adjustable wrench
Answer: Hi, Some items are unable to be shipped to California because of proposition 65. It requires businesses/manufacturers to provide warning labels on products to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. Amazon has this in their help section as well. Tools: California requires the following notice: WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber. Your risk from exposure to these chemicals varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure, work in a well-ventilated area and with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
