Question:	Is this a 1/2" drive
Answer:	It is made of heavy terry cloth. It is heavy enough on bottom of mitt but, not doubled on top of mitt. So if you touch oven, or rack with top, you feel heat. I am returning mine.

Answer:	Yes...it can scan colored documents but it cannot scan both sides of a document at the same time. You have to scan each side but the scanner is very quick
