3 best stanley impact wrenches

Stanley impact wrenches are powerful and versatile tools used for tightening or loosening nuts and bolts. They are a part of Stanley's line of hand tools and power hand tools, which are designed for a wide range of applications in construction, automotive repair, and various other industries. Here are some key details about Stanley impact wrenches:

  1. Functionality: An impact wrench is a high-torque tool that applies sudden, intense rotational force to fasteners, making it particularly useful for tasks that involve heavy-duty nuts and bolts.

  2. Drive Socket Sets Compatibility: Stanley impact wrenches typically use drive socket sets, which are collections of sockets of various sizes and types. These sets are designed to fit onto the anvil of the impact wrench, allowing it to accommodate a wide range of fastener sizes.

  3. Power Source: Stanley impact wrenches are available in both electric (corded) and cordless (battery-powered) models.Cordless models offer greater mobility but may have limitations on battery life.

  4. Torque Output: These wrenches are known for their high torque output, making them capable of handling heavy-duty applications such as automotive repair, construction, and manufacturing.

  5. Variable Speed and Torque Settings: Some models come with adjustable speed and torque settings, allowing users to customize the tool's performance based on the specific task at hand.

  6. Compact and Ergonomic Design: Stanley impact wrenches are often designed to be compact and ergonomic, allowing for comfortable and controlled use, even in tight or awkward spaces.

  7. Durability: Stanley is known for producing durable and reliable tools, and their impact wrenches are no exception. They are built to withstand the rigors of professional use.

  8. Applications: These wrenches are commonly used in automotive repair and maintenance, construction, manufacturing, and various industrial applications. They are particularly useful for tasks like changing tires, assembling or disassembling machinery, and more.

  9. Accessories and Attachments: Some models may come with additional features or accessories, such as LED lights for improved visibility in low-light environments, or a carrying case for easy transport and storage.

  10. Price Range: The cost of a Stanley impact wrench can vary depending on factors like power source, torque output, and additional features. Corded models tend to be more affordable, while cordless models may be pricier due to the included battery and charger.

When choosing a Stanley impact wrench, it's important to consider the specific needs of the task at hand, including the required torque, the type of fasteners you'll be working with, and whether corded or cordless functionality is more suitable for your application.

User questions & answers

Question: Where is the proto 3/4" j175wp impact wrench made
Answer: This desk is portable, however it has only two casters. For frequent movement between rooms, we would recommend our MI-7975 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G4MSDGK) or MI-7940 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYB7GRD)
Question: What size air fitting does it use
Answer: Unfortunately, this would only work well for use with a computer/desk chair that is also adjustable as the lowest height is 2-4" too high for any other standard seat. For instance, I got this to work from home and use it while sitting on my couch. My couch is a "big & tall" style couch which means it's essentially deeper and higher than a typical couch (USA). However, even with me being 6'1", it's very uncomfortable and not feasible to use this regularly from my couch due to it being too tall even at the lowest setting. Furthermore, it feels as if the manufacturer took a guess at the min. and max heights as the min is too high for use with any typical seating and the highest setting is far too high for anyone standing that isn't taller than 6'3". The highest setting is simply too high for comfortable use but that's not as much of a problem since it can be lowered to the perfect standing use height. My point here is that they made it too high overall and could have accommodated and had a much more valuable system if they had just built it 2-3" shorter. It would have made it functional for a wider range of users and purposes as well as cut back the cost of materials by maybe 5% creating more profit. It's too bad as I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this thing at the moment so in the meantime, I'm using it right now from my couch while sitting on an additional pillow... Not exactly an ideal situation but at least a short-term fix works until I find a suitable alternative that's as easily folded/stored/moved. Note: It is actually surprisingly light-weight much lower than my original expectation which was nice. Also, it's surprisingly well built and shipped with adequate packaging + protection. Everything is wonderful about this but mine did take a little modification to the telescoping area as when it's extended for any standing position, there is just a few millimeters of play due to the design of the telescoping feature that makes it lean pretty heavily to one side. That's because of the "play" between the male/female sections of the square tubing which isn't eliminated by the plastic female side "guide" hardware (the plastic guide material is too thin so I had to put some cardboard to help fill the tolerance gap and keep the table straight instead of leaning to the left. The adjustable feet do not fix that issue either so it's really just a design flaw. Anyway, it's just unfortunate that they missed the mark on the height range/accommodation as it's perfect other than that and the leaning is a minor problem that's easily resolved with a quick/cheap/free wedge placed in the telescoping area.

User questions & answers

Question: How much are the battreies
Answer: The stand pictured above is not the one I have. The wheelbase is different. However it is from the save company. The one I purchased was $67.99. It didn't come assembled. And it kind of heavy, sturdy, and very well made.. Its not something I want to carry around if your going.from place to place..and it ackward to put in my truck. I leave it at the church. Hope that helps.
Question: Does anyone know if a repair kit is available for this impact gun, like there are for all of the ratchets? I find NOTHING on the internet
Answer: You can roll it to either side of the bed, but I returned mine. Measure very carefully before buying. When I had the upright pole hard against the side of the bed, the large tray only extended 14" over the bed. Not enough to even use the book rest in bed, which is what I bought it for. It was unusable.
Question: How many foot pounds is it rated for forward and reverse
Answer: 176 pounds not 17.6
Question: Country of manufacture
Answer: I ordered it specifically because it was one of the highest of these types. I’m 6’ and it was plenty tall. However I returned it because it is very wobbly. I would not necessarily recommend it for that reason.

Proto

Product description

All Proto impact sockets incorporate the TorquePlus wrenching system. The TorquePlus design is a high performance drive configurationwhich allows for quick and easy socket engagement to the fastener flats, not the corners. The configuration employs a radius-corner design, shifting contact area and stresses over a large area of the socket, minimizing slippage. The internal design of the TorquePlus minimizes fastener rounding, helps to extend fastener life, and allows the user to more easily turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. Proto impact sockets are made from special alloy steel, and are heat treated for the correct balance of strength and hardness, while the one-piece construction ensures their concentricity. Socket wall thickness is optimized to provide maximum strength and ample access to restricted fasteners. Sockets are manufactured to the most up to date industrial specifications, assuring concentric openings, large clearance holes, and tight nut end tolerance.

  • Includes: 1/4", 9/32", 5/16", 11/32", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 11/16", 3/4", 13/16", 7/8", 15/16", 1", Socket Bar and Clips
