| Answer: | No. The belts are too thin. You will wear out many belts to get just 1 blade sharp. This is a small knife sharpener, I wouldn't sharpen anything bigger than a kitchen knife or scissors. The sharpening belt is about 1" wide and paper thin. I wore out 2 med and 2 fine belts sharpening about 10 knives when I first got this machine. It works good but it is not built for things like shovels and mower blades. I am not sure I would sharpen a machete with it. |

| Answer: | The sherpener comes with an angle guide however with most utility or camping knives I would recommend a 25° angle. This belt kit does not come with a leather strop. I use a piece of 10 oz leather glued to a board coated with jewelers rouge. Check out Tandy Leather for the rouge and leather supplies.
