I did not try to dissemble to examine. I have had Radio Flyer wagons in the past but this is the most substantial wagon that I have found. As I stated in the review, the body has marks in the steel but the paint is good and most kids wagons will get dinged up with use, this wagon will take much more effort by the child to ding.
