Answer:	For doing what you're describing the classic tool is a BIG pair of "end nippers" such as Channellock 148-14. It's amazing that a "wire cutter" can be such a great nail puller too.

Answer:	Absolutely. It takes a little technique but once learned it works great. Open the hawa, slam it down so the jaw tips,are below the head of the nail, pry away. It does leave a dent in the wood so it''s not for fine work. It is intended for opening wood crates and un- nailing pallets.
Question:	Which size would be best for deck boards and general exterior stuff
Answer:	Very well, once you learn how. No directions with it. I was holding it straight up and down and trying to get it lined up on the nail head. Since I'm on the back side of 70 and not a contortionist, that didn't work. I was pulling deck nails. Kneel down on one knee and hold the top at about a 45 degree angle away from you. Put the back claw next to the nail head,straighten it up and slam the handle at least twice. That should seat the claw in the wood under the head. Then just push towards the foot. Once you've got a good grip on the nail, extend the handle up for extra leverage. Be careful when you are slamming the handle. Be sure your bottom hand is under the stopper. A picture would have been worth 1000 words.

Answer:	I typically grab the nail as near to the entry point as possible and generally am not gripping the nail head and they work better than any other nail puller I have ever used.

Answer:	this tack puller works great doing the job its intended to do, however I will say I was pulling out panel nails and it was not thin enough to get under without damaging the panel wood. Lucky for me I didn't care. not sure there is a tool thinner but good luck.

Answer:	Somewhere deep inside the bowels of an Amazon warehouse, a screw driver and a week puller met, fell in love and whalah, ya got yourself one of these things. But - in this case you got twins...and they're so cute, not terribly useful, but they don't eat much and generally stay in their drawer without complaining too much. That is why the tool has an offset in the handle.it is slid unde the shingle and over the nail head; the tool is then struck to drive the nail. It is for repairs, not for new installation. Answer:	Probably should try one before buying multiples. These have a purpose but I never see roofers use them. They’re kind of gimmicky. I am an insurance adjuster and talk to roofers every day. 1 of these would be all an entire roof crew would need.
