Answer:	The Tea Tree Oil Shaving Soap is just that, soap. As one of the other commenters stated, it comes out of the tube as a viscous dark amber, semi-clear liquid and works up into a very nice, thick lather (doesn't clog the blades!). I've use it by simply applying to my face, working up a lather and shaving but will start using a badger hair brush (after 50 years of doing without one!). Anyhow, the "Dr. Bronner's Organic Shaving Soap" is a dark amber, liquid soap and NOT a gel. I don't know why the Amazon vendor felt the need to add to the name of the product by mislabeling the listing. Further, you can order this directly through Dr. Bonner for a whole lot less than this vendor is selling it for, exact same product, size.
