7 best gerber knife sharpener diamonds
Gerber knife sharpeners with diamond surfaces are tools designed to help maintain and restore the sharpness of various types of knives, including pocket knives and folding knives. Here's what you need to know about Gerber knife sharpeners with diamond surfaces:
Diamond Sharpening Surface: Gerber knife sharpeners with diamond surfaces use industrial-grade diamonds as the abrasive material on the sharpening surface. Diamonds are known for their hardness, which makes them effective at sharpening and honing knife edges.
Dual-Sided Design: Many Gerber knife sharpeners with diamonds feature a dual-sided design. One side typically has a coarse diamond surface for initial sharpening, while the other side has a fine diamond surface for honing and refining the edge.
Portable and Compact: These sharpeners are often designed to be compact and portable, making them convenient for outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, and anyone who needs to maintain their knives on the go.
Ease of Use: Gerber knife sharpeners with diamond surfaces are generally user-friendly.They are equipped with guides or angles that help users maintain the correct sharpening angle for the knife, ensuring consistent results.
Versatility: While primarily designed for pocket knives and folding knives, Gerber knife sharpeners with diamond surfaces can also be used on other types of knives, including fixed-blade knives, kitchen knives, and multi-tools.
Durable Construction: These sharpeners are built to withstand frequent use. The diamond abrasives are long-lasting, ensuring that the sharpener remains effective over time.
Maintenance Tools: Some Gerber sharpeners with diamond surfaces include additional features, such as ceramic rods for fine honing or tools for maintaining serrated edges.
Safety Features: Safety is a priority in the design of these sharpeners. They often include non-slip bases or grips to prevent accidents while sharpening.
Affordability: Gerber knife sharpeners with diamond surfaces are generally affordable and offer a cost-effective solution for keeping your knives sharp without the need for professional sharpening services.
Maintenance and Care: Proper care and cleaning are important to ensure the longevity of the sharpener. Cleaning the diamond surface and keeping it free from debris and metal shavings will maintain its effectiveness.
In summary, Gerber knife sharpeners with diamond surfaces are handy tools designed to keep your pocket knives, folding knives, and other blades sharp and ready for use. Their compact and portable design, combined with the durability of diamond abrasives, makes them a practical choice for knife maintenance both at home and in outdoor settings.

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the blade and handle lengths? What is the blade width |
Answer: | Overall length is 8.25" and blade length is 4" |
Question: | what are the dimensions of the knife itself |
Answer: | 4" blade, approx 4" handle |
Question: | Is this knife made in USA? Thanks |
Answer: | Nope. Still a decent blade for the money. |
Question: | What kind of steel is it |
Answer: | As noted, 5Cr15MoV. It's a Chinese stainless steel roughly on par with 440A or AUS-6--one of the more highly stain-resistant, but generally overly-soft and cheapest steels on the market. A good heat treat can make it decent, but it's chemical composition will not allow it to ever be a spectacular performer. It's also the Chinese equivalent of a German steel popular in German cutlery, but like I said, there's only so much a maker can do with it, even with good heat treat protocols...A factor I doubt Gerber can or cares to control much with their overseas blade production. Churn them out fast, sell them cheap. It makes me sad that Gerber abandoned the S30V steel, USA-made stag-handled version, which was, in my opinion, one of the best hunting knives made. I assume that Freeman is unhappy to have his name associated with something Gerber apparently no longer cares much about. Although the design, hasn't changed, the steel on this will need to be sharpened probably 3-5 times more frequently. S30V is a steel designed by Crucible Metallurgy from the ground up specifically for cutlery. Crucible makes use of a powdered metallurgy technique that produces much smaller, more highly refined, more evenly distributed carbides throughout in the steel's crystalline structure. That technique paired with a good steel recipe, and the cryogenic heat treatment protocols makes it one of the new breed of so-called "super steels" that are popular with knife enthusiasts, including CPM154 (a powdered metallurgy version of the popular 154 CM steel), 3V, CPM-D2 (a new take on a classic tool steel), and S35VN from Crucible, Elmax from Bohler-Uddeholm, and HAP40 from Hitachi. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Would this pouch hold up to the abuse of a duty/war belt |
Answer: | Yes, if you mean the part you plug into the wall outlet and then plug the USB into. I have mine in there in one of the mesh pockets. It does leave a bit of a bump on the silhouette of the case, but not too much, hardly noticeable, and I can still fit the case into my purse or tote bag. I love protecting my phone, cords, pens, paperclips, safety pins and about 5 or so business cards in my case, The zipper makes me rest assured nothing will fall out. That was important to me while traveling overseas. |
Question: | How does this pouch fit the Geber M600 Multitool |
Answer: | Thanks for your question, the dimension of case is 24 x 12 x 4.5 cm/ 9.5 x 5 x 1.7 inches, please compare the size with your charger. |
Question: | Does the velcro actually stick, and stay that way |
Answer: | Does have a slip pocket on one side but this is zipped but no slip pocket on back side. |
Question: | Will this fit my centerdrive and bits, zt knife, olight, pen, and note pad |
Answer: | I believe it will. I’ve put a smaller adapter in the pouch, along with a 15ft length of Cat 5 cable and there is room leftover. |
Question: | Where can I buy replacement bits? My punch down bits broke after a few uses |
Answer: | Yes I have the extra long cord charger set. It will fit. You want to use some kind of tie to keep the cords tout though. |
Question: | Can it do RJ |
Answer: | I put a small travel mouse and laptop power cord and business cards in mine and it all fits fine. I really like the cloth tabs on both ends of the zipper. I can easily pull it out of my bag by the tabs. |
Question: | Does this tool include a belt pouch |
Answer: | I don't know how big is your charger, but it can easily fit a 130 watt Dell charger + a regular wireless mouse + a shuko plug adapter. The internal measures are L 24 cm, H 10 cm and W 4.5 cm. |
Question: | Can it be used to score and crimp Cat.6 cable |
Answer: | The cord itself fits through small loop. This loop fits tightly enough on headphone cord that came with my iPhone. When I'm using my headphones, I "clip" the magnets onto my shirt, ensuring adequate slack. When I'm storing my headphones, I loop the cord around itself several times and use this products magnetically sealed loop to hold it secure. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Where is it made |
Answer: | Padding? Without tearing it apart, I can't tell for sure. If it does, it's thin. However! Because of all its pockets and compartments, there are layers on both the front and back that will protect most anything in it. Yes, I drop my iPhone a lot, but when I dropped it in this case, I was secure in that it was very well protected. And, it was. Even if you put nothing in it's pockets and compartments, it still has extra layers of cushioning. This case goes everywhere with me. It went to Europe with me, and several other states now. The other day, I first noticed the pen holders in the fold and put a pen and a marker in there. I also started keeping a couple thumb drives in it, because I work on Ancestry and sometimes need to save things at the library on-line or whatever. I'm going to get one for each of my grown kids, in different colors. |

User questions & answers
Question: | So a buddy gave me one of these today. My guess is its rocking Gerbers awesome Mystery steel |
Answer: | The blade, handle, and sheath display nothing as to country of manufacture. On the back of the box, in small letters, it says "Product of China," with "Printed in China" under that. Don't know if that is about the machete or the box. The quality of the machete and sheath is quite good. It has been used for brush clearing, and so far has performed admirably. There are some good heavy duty testing videos on YouTube which are worth the watch if you are considering purchasing one. |
Question: | Where is this product made |
Answer: | this is a great knife and I clear my ditch three times a year. the grip is very good! |
Question: | Is this full tang |
Answer: | That's hard to say since cold steel uses a lot of different types of steels in their knife making; including 1055 High carbons. The CRKT uses 65Mn steel which is probably equivalent to 1065 high carbon steel. Hope that helps. |
Question: | Is it better or stronger/harder blade than gerber gator machete jr [31-000759]? i don't know wich one to buy! thanks |
Answer: | The knife will come uniformly sharp, end to end. You can sharpen the tip and the area near the handle to be more acute. Thats what I do with all machetes and large choppers. I always spend about 2 hours doing that to a new blade.Shea, the areas mentioned need to be sharper than the chopping area so that fine carving and cutting can be done. Renowned as a master of knives and tools, Gerber's problem-solving, life-saving products are designed with the unique needs of specific activities in mind. Today that includes much more than a blade.
The Gerber 22-41830 E.A.B. Pocket Knife with Exchange-a-Blade is a safe and lightweight alternative to the traditional box cutter, and because it accepts standard utility blades, you will always have a sharp knife handy. The pocket clip doubles as a money clip, and the liner lock construction keeps the blade safely open while in use.

Made from durable stainless steel, the Gerber E.A.B. Pocket Knife will stand up to daily use as a box cutter, pocket knife, or as the back-up knife you keep in your backpack, purse, or car.
Replaceable Blade Keeps Knife Sharp
With its handy exchange-a-blade feature, the Gerber E.A.B. Pocket Knife will always be sharp. Because it uses contractor grade or standard size utility blades, you can cheaply and conveniently change blades as often as you need. You won't have to worry about ruining the blade when you cut through tough surfaces--just replace it and keep working.
When one side of the blade gets dull, you can still use the other side by turning the blade over. When both sides are dull, simply unscrew the stabilizing screw and replace the blade.
Lightweight Knife Stores Comfortably in Pocket
At only 2.2 ounces and 2.4 inches in length when closed, the Gerber E.A.B. Pocket Knife stores easily and comfortably in your pants or shirt front pocket, keeping the knife nearby for frequent tasks. A convenient pocket clip doubles as a money clip and allows the knife to rest on the edge of the pocket, increasing accessibility.
Safety Features for Worry-Free Use
Liner lock construction locks the blade solidly in the open position, so you can apply pressure without worrying about the knife closing on its own. A finger guard over the blade keeps your fingers safe, and the shape and heft of the knife keep it from wobbling or slipping.
The Gerber E.A,B, also makes a great monogrammed gift, with its flat handle and slim profile.
About Gerber: A History of Innovation
Savvy. Moxie. Craftsmanship. Attention to detail. These are just a few of the company traits that have contributed to Gerber's emergence as a world leader in outdoor gear. Joseph Gerber started Portland, Oregon's Gerber Advertising back in 1910, and one Christmas, he hired a local knife-maker to craft 25 sets of kitchen cutlery as client gifts. The knives were so popular Mr. Gerber ultimately left his agency to launch Gerber Legendary Blades in 1939.
It makes sense, really. An idea man gets the idea of a lifetime and turns it into a major outdoor brand--one that commands respect among knife lovers and knife makers alike. And now that same high regard is spreading in new directions, in the form of many outstanding products such as tools, personal L.E.D. lighting, and more.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the knife stay in the closed position? I'd like to use this as a money clip and I do not want it to open in my pocket. Thanks |
Answer: | On Amazon website "click" on the title for the bed sheets from Hearth & Harbor. Under the title you will see VISIT THE HEARTH & HARBOR STORE. You are then directed to their website. |
Question: | What is the community experience with taking this thru TSA screening, minus the blade |
Answer: | This is impossible, I have had bedbugs in the past and run a successful bedbugs blog for the past 7 years. Bedbugs only thrive where there is a food source, and a company that produces sheets isn't an ideal location to nest for them. |
Question: | Doesn't look ergonomic. I can see blisters with extended use. Opinions |
Answer: | I have washed them several times and no pills so far. |
Question: | Which replacement blades do you use with this knife? I tried the Lenox gold blades and they're too narrow and won't fit snugly |
Answer: | No, it is only made as a pocket holster |

Product description
If Gerber had settled for making just one version of the Paraframe knife, people might have been content. Because this reputable example of frame lock design caught on admirably among knife lovers...making the Paraframe a mainstay of the industry. But we figured there's no merit in being stingy, so we worked up a total of eight versions. And the people were pleased. There is a simplicity to this knife that relates as much to function as it does to form. It's a breeze to open. The clip point blade configuration is ideal for cutting in close-Quarters.
