They can fade if they are under clothing due to rubbing, as would be expected. Applying lotion and creams can break down the adhesive though so bear this in mind.

Answer:	Yes, you do need to take the screws out to change the blade. There are two small philips screws, and the whole blade swap could probably be done in under a minute

Answer:	No, there is a strong magnet that keeps the blade out or in. However, stabbing with this will not prevent the blade from going back into the handle. This is a nicely made but poorly engineered tool. The design is all there for this to have a locking mecinism with the spring loaded sliding lever but it seems they either got stumped or ran out of funds and went with the magnet. When I first bought it I was disappointed by the retraction mechanism but as that it stays in place for carry and use (but for stabbing poking) it has proven very helpful and useful. I find I don’t have to deploy my carry knife for small cutting or detailed cutting jobs. The handle is nicely anodized aluminum and the screws are cleanly machined. So for 20.00 I think it was worth it to me. For more than that unsure. I am a LE tactical knife instructor trainer and tactical FA instructor trainer. Answer:	I do not think so. I don't recall it having a phantom power switch and there is no XLR connection. I haven't used mine in years, but it was a great little unit as far as external USB sound cards go. I would imagine they would list Phantom power as a feature were it capable of providing that. Sorry if this is not helpful.

Answer:	I disagree with some of the posters on here. Personally I think carbon steel holds the edge 10x's better than stainless steel. The only thing stainless steel offers is it's easy to clean and does not rust. My grandfather was born in the 1800s and was a machinist and produced handmade full tang carbon steel knife blades with wooden handles and rivets. We carried those knives in our family for 90 years passed down from generation to generation and they always kept the edge just by sharpening them on a steel. Carbon steel rust but it's easy to clean all you have to do is use some steel wool and it comes off in two seconds.

Answer:	I know this question is pretty old but it’s because this is carbon steel and carbon steel quickly develops a patina when used on different materials especially wet ones.
