Question: | The description says milled face the picture showes a smooth face just want to make sure I would be getting a milled face should I buy |
Answer: | It does not say oil free on the bottle and I do not recognize any of the ingredient chemicals as being oils. Hope this helps |
Question: | estwing factory says this model is 13.5 in |
Answer: | The bottle does not really have text indicating "medium hold", but it says the following: "TRES TWO SPRAY ultra fine mist HAIR SPRAY". It has 3 out of 5 indicator. It also has "FIRM CONTROL" on the side. |
Question: | Which model of this hammer will be sent... The one pictured or the older model |
Answer: | No. I only use one or two pumps for my thick hair. It definitely smooths out the frizz but it's not shiny. I use to use Paul Mitchell. It was much more shiny. It's hard to find for a reasonable price anymore. |

Question: | Can I use this to tear through drywall etc on rehab property |

Question: | Would this be good for chizzles |
Answer: | As treatment technologies differ, we recommend you check with your stylist before using our products. If you ever have any other questions regarding this product please do not hesitate to use the "Contact Us" page on our website! |

Question: | made in china |

Question: | The chipping hammer's chiesel end has no edge on it , is it supposed to be that way |
Answer: | Look under "Technical Details", item weighs 1.52 lbs (20 oz hammer) |
Question: | Can this hammer be used by geology students out in the field |
Answer: | The handle is covered in a dense foam to insulate it from repetitive vibration as you pound nails and things. If you mean "shock" as in insulated from electrical shock, I don't know how much, if any, protection the foam gives from that kind of shock. |
Question: | Is this made from carbon steel |
Answer: | Depends on the hammer weight. The 22oz is 16" long from top of head to bottom of handle. The 16oz is shorter but I dont know how much. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why are there 5 sizes in the pull down menu and why are these not described in the product specifications |
Answer: | I didn’t see 5 sizes in the pull down menu. That said, I love the mallet. |
Question: | What is the diameter of the mallet's face |
Answer: | 1.5 inch face |
Question: | I need to reform a sauce pan i dropped which flattened one side. Is this the right tool |
Answer: | It suppose could work for that. I’m a cabinet maker and use this tool everyday and love it! The red end is a little to soft for what you need but the yellow end is significantly harder and may work. I do know that both ends will dent and or small pieces break off. So if your pan is to hard and you hit it directly on the edge it will dent the hammer but may still bend the pan back. |
Question: | Are the mallet faces detachable |
Answer: | I tried and cannot detach them. Plus they do not sell replacement parts. I can tell you the mallet is well made. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it made in the United States |
Answer: | Simple slow-speed grinder with grinding lube. Don't let it burn or get too hot. This will destroy the temper of the tool steel and give you a permanently weak metal tool. Hand filing in a vise with appropriate coarseness is also good. Honing stones are good, but this tool is meant to have a chisel-type leading edge. |
Question: | My sledgehammer here has a tiny Gap between the head and the handle. Is this normal |
Answer: | Yes I believe so. I think it has something to do with the fact that when you use it to chip off the slag from the weld it prevents the edge of the hammer from marking the weld. |
Question: | Can it hammer out/in a steering knuckle ball joint |
Answer: | It is not a hammer for geologist. 1) It's too light; 2) Both ends are chisel type so there's no head to crack rock.Geologist use a Estwing Supreme 22 oz Pointed Tip Rock Hammer E3-22P. There is a Estwing Supreme 14 oz Pointed Tip Rock Hammer E3-14P but it is too lightweight for a geology student. Maybe a Estwing Supreme 13 oz Light Weight Rock Hammer E3-13P but that's a little too light for geological work. |
Question: | How long is the handle |
Answer: | I would say yes...,it is an Estwing hammer which is good steel and in my experience good steel has carbon. I hace several Estwing hammers and have never had issues related to low or no carbon content and one of my Estwing hammers is 35 yrs old and still gets used every day. Hope this helps! |
