Answer:	I don't know that I would use it for wood, though I guess you could. It can be set to drill, to jack hammer, or to drill and jackhammer combined. Also, don't know about torque, but I found it to be sufficient for all applications I've tried it in. It is surprisingly powerful and durable for a snall handheld unit.

Answer:	It has 3 options: 1: drill without hammer, only spining, 2: drill with hammer, 3: hammer only for chisel. No spinning...

Answer:	Yes, it can lock in position either horizontally or vertically, as I have used it in both positions. It may lock in other angles, but I have not tried it in angles other than parallel or perpendicular to the handle. I also will mention that this unit has performed admirably and I have absolutely no regrets with my purchase. I was able to remove old tile (put down in the 1950's with thick-set. I found it works best at lower speeds and sharp angles of attack. Take your time and you won't work up any sweat, letting the tool do the work. Hope this helps.
Question:	How do you place the drill bit in the hammer drill, I have been working on this task for a few hours,it do not grip the bits at all
Answer:	This drill does require the special SDS carbide drill bits that have three slots in the shank. I pull the nose piece back and press a little on the bit and it will slip into the drill. I then rotate the bit to ensure that it is locked into place. The slots in the SDS drill bits allows then to transfer the drills hammer action to the drill point. With this drill only bits that are marked SDS Plus will work.

That's your business, of course, but I am imagining any number of other drills that would probably better suit your intentions. As an aside, I found this drill guide to be a POS, and threw it in the trash soon after trying it out. Perhaps you might consider finding a used, or New, Old Stick (NOS) "Port-A-Lign" drill guide for sale on the Web. Either look for one that has a chuck already on it, or one that would accept a new chuck for it that you were willing to purchase just for it (dedicated to the drill guide). Then, you could just use that device with an exposed tail shaft already on it to go into ANY existing drill's chuck, without messing with transferring chucks from the drill to the alignment device and back again, after the job's done. That's what I've done with mine. Let me know what you think of all this. I'd hate to think that I wasted this many electrons for nothing. Thanks.

Answer:	I have not had a problem using it with the splinter guard that came with my TS55. I use it mostly for rips or for thicker hardwoods. As you know the stock TS55 blade can bog down doing things like butcher block countertops. This blade is kind of essential for my setups.
