Answer:	You need to see the head of the pliers. They are shaped differently. The version with curved edges on both sides can be used for removing or installing the master link.

Answer:	This is the MLP-1.2 No tool is required to assemble a quick link/powerlink.
Question:	It opens the links fine, but can't get it to close them, is their a trick
Answer:	No trick that I could see. Just put the outside of the jaws in the links and open the handles until you hear a click. I think they are great! So much easier than trying to pull the chain to get it to click into place. There are two versions of these pliers. One does not have the correct shape on the outside of the claws to set the master link.

Answer:	I believe Park Tool manufactures about 85% of their tools at their facility in Minnesota. I know this doesn't specifically answer where these tools are made, but I'm very happy with the build quality. You could always try asking Park Tool via an email from their website.

Answer:	It should cut it but you shouldn’t use it for that. For hydraulic hose you need a plastic clamp and sharp blade
Question:	will this be able to cut 7x19 steel rope cables at 2mm
Answer:	I've never tried it, but I don't see why not. I think a lot of cycling cables are 1x7, 1x19, 1x31 (and occasionally, though I don't remember ever running into it 7x19) @
Question:	Does this cable cutter have a reamer to open and clean up brake cables once cut
Answer:	You won't need a reamer with this cutter. Best on the market, it cuts real neat and sharp. Just make sure you never use it for anything else and it will last you for years.
Question:	Will this cutter cut through 1/4" steel cable
Answer:	I would use a bolt cutter. They come in different sizes, I would get at least an 18" for 1/4" cable.
