User questions & answers

Question: What is the warranty
Answer: Only good for crimp sizes you have for tool
Question: do they have a swager for bigger than
Answer: The adjustments are there to adjust the crimp. Generally it is ready to go out of the box. This is for pro press copper fittings not pex crimps. Great tool
Question: what comes in box
Answer: The T fitting can be done but it is the trickiest one. The crimping edge is closer to one side than the other so you need to have that side closest to the fitting. Because of the tools size, you will need to figure out the best way to get the tool in tight areas. Some connections are better done first, then put the pipie in place.
Question: can i use this tool for 5mm metric wire rope
Answer: This product is only for copper fitting. And there is no need to use such a tool for pex fittings

User questions & answers

Question: Should this tool pinch the copper crimp rings? I bought some at menards and it pinches them more in an oval shape
Answer: May I know the brand of your copper crimp rings? The jaw of our tool is circle and the crimp result is in a circle shape, not oval shape.
Question: What is the tiny tool on the handle
Answer: I think you're referring to the "go / no-go" gauge, which is the black, rectangular piece of metal with arches cut into it. You set the gauge over the ring you crimped to the PEX piping and check if it sits too high or sits completely flush against the ring. The gauge for the particular ring size (e.g, 3/8", 1/2", etc.) should rest about half-way when setting it onto the ring you just crimped. This is to give you an idea if the crimp was not enough or over-crimped. In either of those cases, you could end up with a leak and you'd need to adjust the crimp level of the main tool. I found with mine that it was already set to the correct amount of crimp pressure for the rings I used, so there was no need to adjust. However, you may find it needs to be adjusted especially if you use various brands of crimp rings, and their overall thickness, which can vary slightly depending on manufacturer.
Question: My tool is set right side on one left side on two. When adjusting tension do both sides have to be equal numbers or will that oblong ring
Answer: I would make sure tension is same on both, usually set right from factory, it can be off a little..
Question: th item in the description says "Crimp rings: ....", but I do not see rings in any of the pictures. Are they included
Answer: Crimp rings are not included. The 4th bullet point clarifies which crimp rings are used for.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the tools warranty
Answer: We promise half-year warranty.
Question: If you have connected all fitting an one links will tool open enough to fit over water line with out cutting line so you can clamp ring tighter
Answer: Sorry, at present there is no other tool works for 1/4 cables and ferrules.
Question: Should the fitting spin after crimped
Answer: Package includes the sleeves crimping tool and cable cutter.
Question: Does this crimping tool ratchet
Answer: You may be pushing the limits here a little... If 5mm 'still' equals approximately 0.19685" (5 divided by 25.4 ... converting mm to inches). Then... 1/16"-3/16" (0.0625"-0.1875") is the range of this tool. The description says up to 4mm(0.157"), though 3/16" (0.1875) is super close to 5mm. The description is correct so far as math is concerned, but it is my experience in the field that it probably might work, with tolerances and all. Just DO NOT APPLY THIS LOGIC TO CABLE RIGGING OF AN AIRCRAFT!! ANY AIRCRAFT, Cessna or 747. (PERIOD!). It is outside of specification (I know, all of aviation is in inches anyway, jus' sayin'). Dang it, I just did the thing that frustrates me the most in Amazon answers; I haven't ACTUALLY tried this (or done it), just offered an educated guess. Whelp, GOOD LUCK!! (YMMV)

User questions & answers

Question: Is there a warranty on this
Answer: It can hold a lot of small things, but not suggested hold too many heavy things, after all, the product is not very big. At least I can hold about 20 pens and it won't slide down. so convenient pen holder.
Question: Does this come with lugs
Answer: It will set flat on a desk, but without the magnet to support it, not sure how steady it will be. It might fall over when filled with pens. I have a metal vertical file tray on my desk, and attach it to that via the magnet. That way it is very sturdy.
Question: Are the awg dies just metric dies relabeled in awg or are they sized properly as well? can the dies be purchased seperatly
Answer: The flat part with the magnet is 3-1/4" long. From front to back it is about 1-1/8" wide. From top to bottom it is 4" tall.
Question: Will it crimp 6 awg 'insulated' ring connectors
Answer: I don't think it would. I will hold 12 regular pens, and about 8 regular sharpie sized pens.

User questions & answers

Question: The Amazon listing says this unit works on both copper and stainless steel rings, but box says: "Used for pressing stainless steel sleeves only
Answer: It is a 2 stage. Crimp halfway. Adjust the knob, then crimp the rest of the way.
Question: So, it appears that iws-1234p, along w/the iws pipe cutter, are a more economical approach than the angled head 'separates' in this kit, right
Answer: hello Paul, this tool is for copper ring meet astm 1807 standard, it's not for stainless steel ring.
Question: How much room or space do the tools need to operate? Can they operate in tight spaces? Between two joists on 16" center
Answer: hello, I used this unit right out of the box, approximately 75 1/2 and 50 3/4. It worked perfectly, no leaks and no calibration was needed. I highly recommend this kit. The angle of the jaws helped in many tight locations. You can't go wrong with this one, I love it. The carrying case even carries spare 1/2 and 3/4 crimp rings right in the case, so you are always ready to go. Hope this helps.
Question: How hard is it to crimp with these ? Can you do it one handed ? Our current shark bite ones have longer handles. Leary of handheld concept
Answer: The first time I used it was in a tight place. I found it to be easy to crimp using moderate pressure.
