Question:	How much distance is between the mounting holes and the edge of the fixed jaw? Can it be mounted 2" from the bench edge and not overhang the bench
Answer:	From the middle of mounting screw to the edge of fixed jaw is around 1 1/4. I have my vice mounted 1 1/4 from the edge of my bench and the mounted vice jaw is flush with the bench. Hope this helps!
Question:	Is this chinese junk
Answer:	My 750-E has no stamp, however, Yost states that this model is made in China. As for junk, my 750-E is undoubtedly quality made and a serious medium duty vise. I have put it through the ringer and it has surpassed my expectations. I have several vises and I now use this one more than the rest. It is an excellent piece of equipment.
Question:	What are the size and dimensions of the mount holes
Answer:	Mac Yoda: On the vice I received, the mount holes are 1/2 inch in diameter (I measured 0.502" with calipers). There are four mount holes arranged in a square pattern. Going around the square's perimeter, the distance between the hole centers is 4 3/16 inches (I measured 4.83 inches).

Answer:	Well quite a lot is different between the 750-DI vise and the 750-E vise.The 750-DI vise is constructed with heavy duty ductile iron castings (65,000 psi tensile strength) whereas the 750-E vise is constructed with grey iron castings (30,000 psi tensile strength). The difference in the material of construction means the 750-DI vise can withstand higher torques and applied load. The 750-DI is rated to 165 ft-lb torque whereas the 750-E is rated to 95 ft-lb torque.The applied load or clamping pressure on the 750-DI is 7000 pounds whereas the 750-E is 4000 pounds. Answer:	Yost vises website says it comes with a 1 year warranty. My vice split in half length-wise 4 inches long, toward the jaws, the first time I used the anvil platform. Unfortunately, it was 2 years after purchase. Their higher end professional series vises carry a lifetime warranty.

Answer:	I used M10 SHCS with hex nuts and washers via through hole in my workbench. The spot face on the vise mounting surface is just large enough for 3/8" or M10 standard flat washers.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. Though the lock is designed primarily to be opened with a Bluetooth connection, it can also be opened with manual codes for which 8 numbers can be used for each code.

Answer:	My unit does not connect to wifi. It does pair up via bluetooth with my phone. You cannot remote access it via a wifi connection, but you can activate it when your phone is close. We program in guest codes and have a master code that we use and this has worked well so far at our vacation rental. If you need a wifi enabled device, this is not it.

Answer:	You can add a guest through the app. The guest will receive an invite. You do not need to be at the lock to add a guest. When their phone is near the lock it will sync with it. There is also a manual override you can provide and change as you need to.

Answer:	The vice Is made of high density iron. It has 2 lockdowns, reversible jaws, and very smooth main screw. This model, with the 2 anvils, is perfect for fabrication. It's not a commercial heavy duty, made of steel, but for home, it's the best.

Answer:	Yes. The gap at the top between the pipe jaws when the main jaws are touching is roughly 1/8”.
Question:	what is the diminsion of the bolt down pattern
Answer:	The mounting base does extend out further than the face of the stationary jaw. This is a very poorly designed vice. A long object can be clamped in horizontally, but not vertically. If you can find an very old used Yost, those are fantastic. This one is not much of a vice.

Answer:	no where on the vise does it say where it was made....most likely china..... but it is a very nice vise for a little over $100.00...good luck finding anything made in america and not spending a small fortune for it.

Question:	What size bolt do I need to use to mount
Answer:	When I purchased my Yost 750DI, I was unaware of the Wilton 69999 which is a good thing because I may have bought the Wilton based on reputation and prior ownership. I have almost always had Wilton vises and the shops that I worked in had Wilton vises. Wilton has always been one of the best. As I said, I was unaware of the 69999 when I purchased my Yost 750DI and I couldn’t be happier with it. After researching the Wilton 69999 I was surprised at several things in comparison to the Yost 750DI. The 750DI is made of 60,000lb ductile iron (weighs 63lbs) whereas the 69999 is made of 30,000lb ductile iron (weighs 45lbs). This allows the Yost casting the ability to exert more force before breaking or distorting. The Yost 750DI castings are capable of exerting 9,000lbs of clamping force, not sure about the Wilton but I’m pretty sure that it’s not near as much as the Yost. The 750DI has three sets of jaws; parallel serrated top jaws, serrated pipe jaws and smooth V-jaws for round and flat stock. All of these jaws are hardened steel and ALL are replaceable. The pipe jaws are held in by kind of loose pins that allow the jaws to be self-aligning, nice feature. The 69999 has three sets of jaws too; parallel serrated top jaws, serrated pipe jaws and smooth V-jaws but only one of the pipe jaws is removable??? The removable pipe jaw is hardened steel but the non-removable side is cast. Both have a double lock down swivel base and both swivel 360 degrees. The Wilton uses a lock down to tighten the swivel whereas the Yost swivel tightens when you tighten the jaws. The locking swivel of the Wilton is a nice feature. The Wilton’s swivel also has indexing at 90 degrees left and right. The Yost swivel has 12 locking points (with the use of a spring loaded pull pin) at 30 degree increments, nice feature. Duty on the Wilton is rated at general purpose, light tradesman whereas the Yost is rated at industrial. I think a better comparison for the Wilton 69999 would be the Yost 750E. It’s more of a medium duty vise and closer to the Wilton than the 750DI. There also seems to be some confusion on the Internet as to where these vises are made, NEITHER are made in the USA, I believe that both of them are made in China. Some other specs to compare: Yost 750DI Wilton 69999 Jaw Width 5” 5” Jaw Opening 5” 5 ¼” Throat Depth 4” 3” Pipe Capacity 1/8” to 3 ½” ½” to 3” I’m really happy with this Yost 750DI, I’ve been using it for two years now and it’s still great. I would definitely consider Yost again in the future if their other vises are as nice as this one.
Question:	What is the distance fron the center of the mount to the back of the vise with the jaws closed
Answer:	Rubber/plastic pipe jaws probably exist somewhere on this planet but my guess is that it'll be a futile search. This is what I would do if I had to clamp fork tubes in a vise: 1) Measure outside diameter of the tube you want to clamp. 2) Find a hole saw that's just slightly larger in diameter and drill a hole through a suitable piece of wood like a scrap piece of 2x4. 3) Saw the piece of wood in half across the hole so that the halves will fit around the fork tube, if the fit is loose shave off a bit more of wood. 4) Now you can clamp the wood which is clamping the fork tube in the vise without marring the metal Surface. This is what I would do, FWIW.
Question:	Which is the heavier duty vice-the 905 as or 935 as yost vise
Answer:	The pin is a compromise that allows the jaws to open and close freely, without out-of-control rotation. If you had a clamp-down screw on the side, like the Harbor Freight, you would have to loosen it before opening or closing the jaws. So it's a better idea IMO.
Question:	Is it made in the USA
Answer:	No, I feel the same way and wanted a USA vise. If you really want one they start in the $450 price point. Wilton 1745 Tradesman Vise Is on on Amazon and is what I bought. All USA vise’s are stamped with USA on it. I can tell you the quality of a USA vise is mind blowing. It’s not just where it’s made but also the quality of the Iron and the strength. If you buy a USA vise you will pass it down to you son/grandson or it will retain lots of value for resale. As a alternative to buying new, I recommend looking at the used Loca market for a USA Vise. They aren’t cheap but they are around half that of a new USA Vise. It’s age doesn’t matter and it will probably look dirty and beat up but it will beat any China made Vise on the market. Remember, you could always sand blast it and powder coat/ paint a used one to make it look new.

Answer:	Approximate dimensions are 6.5 inched high, 4.5 inches wide (at the jaws) and 10.5 inches deep. The base of the vise is 6.5 inches x 6.5 inches and mounts using four bolts. The swivel adjustment bar extends about 2 inches beyond the base.

Answer:	Note that for model 460, the 6 inch model, the holes are actually 5/8" diameter, and require a locking washer in addition to the flat washer.

Answer:	The holes are spaced 4.25 inches center to center in a square pattern. The base is about 5 inches.
Question:	How many inches do the jaws open up to
Answer:	Deborah - this vise is manufactured in China. One reviewer posted that it was American made, and I apologize for that confusion. If you want a USA made vise try the Yost 865-DI, our entry level USA vise.
