Question:	Has anyone found that this chisel's cross-section is not square
Answer:	They will shear 6-32 and 8-32 machine screws, including steel. These are come thread sizes in the electricians' trade. "For copper only" refers to the type of wire to be cut. Some responses here are not well informed.

Answer:	Lettering is engraved through the paint. Engraving is done with dot peening stylus type tool sometimes referred to as micro-percussion engraving machine. Etching is not extremely deep but I suspect that if the paint wears off the letters will still be visible.

Answer:	They are a very durable hard plastic, but i wouldn't recommend hitting them with a metal hammer. In short time after receiving these, i was able to fashion a wooden mallet to use with these chisels and it works nicely. If you don't have a mallet yet, use a short 2x4 before a metal hammer.

Answer:	I would think this should cut through that thickness. I believe I've punched through 16 gauge copper sheet before - I think 1mm is about 18 gauge.

Answer:	Sorry. Stay with the drill. The punch is only designed for about 18ga. metal or softer materials. 1/8" plate is 0.125 thousands of an inch. 18ga. is only a few thousands thicker than your car fender. Most fenders are 22ga.

Also, there is no mention of a full tang in the product description, and I imagine that would be feature I would brag about if it pertained. However, the chisels do have a metal striking cap, and I have beat on the cap with a rawhide hammer with no damage to the cap...

Answer:	When I want control I use a square faced wooden mallet, early on I thought that with a sharp tool and good mallet a single power blow should do the trick, over the years I found firm tapping blows produced better cuts. To power through heavy material removal I like a round carving mallet with a polyurethane face. It transfers a lot of energy and is easier on your handles.

Answer:	I believe they are made in Germany. I returned them because you have to hone/sharpen them before using. For the price there are several other manufacturers that cost the same or less and are ready to use right out of the box.
