Question: is this comfortable to walk on with bare feet
Answer: We have ours over rocks and I found as long as the area is basically flat without any larger rocks protruding through, which could push the carpet up, it is very good. I walk on it all the time with either bare-feet or socks. Now if there is an area where some rocks have gathered and have risen it will push up and you will notice that, but over all it is very comfortable. Keep the area flat as much as you can and you won't have a problem in my opinion.
Question: Will this rug fray if cut
Answer: Yes, I believe it would. You can see fraying on the back of mine where it was cut and they sewed it.
Question: Does the mat get hot when in the sun
Answer: We have not had any problem with the rug getting hot in the sun. It is currently on our playground where kids sit and crawl and play. I will say that it is very durable. (Has been outside since the end of last summer and throughout the winter).
Question: Does it hold water and dirt or will it allow them to pass through? looks like cheap home depot astro turf. am i wrong
Answer: We returned it. It was not soft and looked cheap.

Answer: I guess you could use some double sided tape. It's a pretty heavy rug. If you have patio furniture on it, you won't need to do anything.

Answer: This is solid medium gray. Absolutely love this style of rug. Collects dirt- so you don't track it in your rig. Don't like those plastic ones with the funky designs on them. This looks so much richer. And it comes with great nails that you use as the hold down stakes. Easy to use and come right out with a hammer.

Answer: Doubt that it would be good for that. It is porous and would let the sand particles come through. We use it in front of our camper and some of the blades of grass end up coming through the mesh.
