Answer:	The Fuji Semi-pro 2 would be a very good choice. I am 72 years old and appreciate the Fuji's fairly lite weight and compact turbine. The gun and whip hose are easy for me to handle. I chose the gravity gun and appreciate its comfortable center of gravity in my hand. It is easy to manipulate around corners and tight spaces. You didn't mention the type of material you will be spraying thru the gun. The Semi-Pro gives best performance with water-borne and solvent-borne finishes. It isn't really made for heavier finishes including latex and other paints. I have been very pleased with the nice buttery finish the Semi-Pro applies. I hope this helps with your decision. Answer:	There's relatively NO overspray! I've been using an hvlp gun with and air comp. for years, over spray everywhere!! I had to cover the whole work area! But with the Fuji it's great, (I finish and paint cabinets for a living) all I had to cover is about two feet of the wall and floor and spray and in the next room my customer is reading the paper, with no disturbance of over spray. WOW!! I love Fuji!!
Question:	Can you spray automotive acrylic and urethane based paints
Answer:	When spraying automotive finishes, we would recommend use of a 4 or 5-stage system to provide the power necessary to atomize high viscosity primers and allow for optimal atomization.

Answer:	I was going to buy the Semi-pro 2 but jumped to the Mini-mite 3 because it comes with the T series gun, same as Fuji's high-end sprayers, while the Semi-pro 2 comes with their M series gun. I've never used the Semi-pro 2, but I'm getting fantastic results from the 3 and I think the additional power and the better gun were worth the extra money.

Question:	Is there a lot of over spray, could you spray in a finished house
Answer:	There is not a 'lot' of overspray, but there is always going to be some. I haven't used other types of sprayers (airless or compressor type) but I suspect they are much worse in this regard. You can spray in a finished house (I did) but you still want to mask and protect the surrounding area .

Answer:	This gun is a non-bleeder, which I prefer. You can pull back the trigger slightly to get some "dust off" air stream, however.

Answer:	pick up a small, cheap air brush compressor and pressurize the cup using 1/4” vinyl tubing. Shazam youre atomizing ANYTHING. Manufactures used to make these units, but they found it it was much harder to make your own turbine unit without the special 6 stage units they told you need. The ones they had made specially made and price protected by the vacuum motor. I’ve painted my entire life and now own my own Ben Moore paint store. These 4, 5 and 6 stage units are new the past few, five years give or take, turbines have been around for decades, so you figure it out. If you’re still not sure you should probably listen to the ones trying to sell you something. good call!

Question:	How hard is this to use? i want to repaint my dark kitchen cabinets white. i haven't ever done any painting with a spray gun. can i learn quickly
Answer:	So I painted my kitchen cabinets last year with it. I never used a HVLP sprayer before. I did not spray over my old cabinets. I build new doors from Maple stock sander them down to 320 grit before I started painting. I thought that the best paint to use would be a oil base paint. So this is what I bought and realizing that I would have to thin it with paint thinner (not more then 10%). First I primed them with an oil base primer then started to use the finish coat. So it didn't go so well at first you have to figure out the volume of paint to allow to flow from the gun. I found with the oil base paint that 1 1/2 turns open from closed or 1 1/4 turns worked best. You spray one direction and then the other direction. I would paint them, let them dry over night and lightly sand them with 320 grit. This gets rid of any imperfections in the finish. Then apply another coat and followed this process for 4 coats. I ended up with an almost perfect finish. But that is not good enough. See now that you have this perfect finish anytime you scratch your finger nail against the paint it leaves a mark. So to solve this I applied a clear poly coat from Minwax. Sprayed it with the paint flow valve only 1 turn open since it is so thin and can be sprayed without thinning. Same process as with the paint but sand with 400 grit instead, Applied 4 coats and my doors are scratch free and easy to clean. I painted the outside of the cabinets with a latex paint and brush. Since you don't see much of them it makes little difference to use a sprayer. I have since become very good with this sprayer and do many projects with it now with confidence. If you use a latex paint I find that Sherwin Williams works better then Bear and you have to thin Latex paint since it is much thicker then oil. Oil paint is just a pain to clean up and it smells so you can't use it inside. When you are ready to paint setup a small spray booth in the garage or outside, make a turntable if you can so you move the work and not your position. You have to make sure you keep as much dust out as possible. Wet the sides of the paint booth and the floor. I used my garage and also put plastic up on the outside of the doors to keep as many insects as possible out. I had to refinish several doors do to small a insect getting stuck on the paint. My brother in-law told me that there is a paint you can use with a brush that flows at the right rate and dries with a tile look. I did see these online for $100 gallon. Oh I used a 1.5 needle in the sprayer. Good luck it is fun to spray once you master it.

Answer:	Thanks. Here's what I found out - they have a major distribution deal with Wagner. The cap & needle sets are readily available. The needle only parts are coming soon. You can order direct from the 800 number in the manual. The sets are $49, and I didn't learn the needle only price. They'll all be available through Home Depot and channel sales this year.
Question:	Is this an appropriate unit for detail work such as high gloss clear coating of guitars using water based polyurethane and sanding sealer
Answer:	I have only used this for refinishing cabinets and furniture. Have to be careful tho, sometimes it spirts.

Answer:	Hola! It does come with a brush, a wrench, a viscosity funnel and the users manual. There is only one needle included. Besides that, it is just the spray gun, and the turbine unit. Answer:	Yes. Cleaning oil-based primer took forever to clean because you must use mineral spirits and be sure to get every bit of it off the interior parts. Cleaning latex-based primer and paint out of the sprayer with soapy water was much easier but still time-consuming, especially since I tried to get every bit of primer/paint off the outside of the sprayer and pump in case I want to sell it if we ever finish the kitchen-painting project. I am an almost elderly homemaker, amateur painter, and I was able to use it successfully.
Question:	Has anyone use it as a Spray tan system
Answer:	I have. The turbine has similar specs (i.e. correct pressure and airflow) to some other HVLP spray tanning systems; however, for me the cup size was too large and spray pattern on the included nozzle made it difficult to not overspray. I purchased a wagner "spray tan cartridge attatchment" aka "Wagner Detail Front End Kit" (ASIN B00FDZDO32). It works ok but the cup size is still fairly large and tended to overspray . I have since replaced that gun with a "Maxi-Mist Spray Tanning Gun Replacement Lightweight" ($35 on ebay) and am happy with the results even though I had to adapt the hose to fit. Maxi-mist's MaxiMist™ Evolution TNT Spray Tanning System looks like the wagner painted all black and I wonder if the front end gun ($50) is compatible. I don't use this professionally but can say its works, especially with a purpose made gun. I got best results with the pressure set just above minimum.

Answer:	The T-70 can be converted into a gravity feed spray gun using the #9960 U-Tube Conversion Kit. Since the U-tube is meant for the Fuji Spray M-model spray gun, teflon tape may be required around the couplings to avoid leaks.

Answer:	I have a Mini-Mite 3 and I love it. I used it to paint 3 decks and in particular the 340 spindles. Email or call Fuji as they were very responsive and helpful when I contacted they. I had a problem with my unit and they contacted me 7 minutes after I emailed them and fixed everything immediately.

Question:	Is the pressure gauge necessary? i am also looking at an astro brand spray gun and none of them include the pressure gauge? thanks
Answer:	Pressure gauges are not necessary if you have some sort of gauge in your air system allowing you to adjust the air pressure. However, having a gauge at the gun will allow better and more consistent control of pressures recommended for the products your spraying, which will help you with achieving the desired results.
Question:	Would this be good to paint a car
Answer:	I bought this to spray primers and it works very well for that task but for bases and clears I'm not sure how it would do. I wouldn't recommend it simply because of the fact that it has a 1.7 mm tip which is too large for bases and even clears so if you do decide to go with this brand gun I'd suggest going with a 1.4 mm tip. I personally own a Finnex FX3000 with 1.4 mm tip to spray base and clear coats and I LOVE that gun. Works great, sprays smooth and the design is awesome, very comfortable in the hand.
Question:	Has anyone used this unit for kitchen cabinet refinishing with Latex Cabinet Paint
Answer:	With the nickel finish you'll generally want paint with thinner, otherwise stuff gets gummy on the inside, use thinner and clean well and you'll be golden. On long work projects I recommend cleaning after 60-90 minutes of use then resuming.
Question:	I plan to paint kitchen cabinets using oil base or alkyd enamel. is 2.0 mm the proper size for this paint
Answer:	I used to use a 1.7 and I would thin latex paint for kitchen cabinets. Makes for a little bit of a finer finish but the 2.0 would work great. Something to consider though, with the experience I have had using over the years with these sprayers they work great, no complaints BUT I recently upgraded to an airless sprayer (a Graco unit from Home Depot). It's definitely a little more expensive on the front end but if you plan to spray anything including kitchens with a little frequency it cut actual spray time down significantly. It took a tenth of the time to spray the same sized kitchen with our graco unit vs the neiko. Good luck!

Answer:	The Mini-Mite 4 can be used with all other Fuji Spray turbine-driven spray guns, and most other spray guns designed for turbine use. Note however, that turbines use 3/4" hose fittings, and are not compatible with compressor spray guns that use smaller air hoses.

Answer:	Refer to page 16 of the owner’s manual. If you don’t have one, you can find it online. Your packing nut is too tight, and won’t let the needle seat. You can see the packing nut between the trigger and the nozzle body. You should have the wrench that came with the system. One of the notches is for the packing nut. Back the nut off less than 1/8th of a turn and try that. If you still have a leak, back it off a tiny bit more. Test with water in the cup.Always use a little of the supplied oil (machine oil) on the needle to lubricate the packing nut. Do that every time you clean the gun. Hope this helps. Larry King
