Answer:	We've painted over it, but I'd expect the life of the vehicle. This is the professional grade sealant.

Answer:	Like Badtimmy66 says put a screw in the end (make sure it's a tight fitting screw that you pretty much have to screw in but not too large it screw the nozzle up) and I also use duct tape. Put a strip over top of the nozzle from side to side then usually a couple raps around the nozzle and make sure nozzle is tight at base and mine seems to last quit awhile without digging any hard material out of the nozzle
