Answer:	here is what i did and it turned out fantastic. i bought 2 of 'kilz 13510701 L340711 interior/exterior self-priming stucco + brick flat paint 1 gallon coal smoke (smoky slate gray).' i purchased this on amazon at $39.66 per gallon last april 2019, and this april 2020 it is $29.39 per gallon. i then meticulously cleaned/prepped a massive patio area and also a front garage cement floor, and daily rented a good sized spray painter at home depot. the end result looks great and is a very pleasant light gray color that is relaxing to look at. good luck with your project.

Answer:	i didn't use this on porcelain tiles, but this sounds like a good idea to me to file in my head for the future. i would use a hand-held graco spray painter for my hypothetical project and use a nonabrasive cleaner like a wet swiffer. good luck with your work.

Answer:	I use the Kilz for the single coat application. It cleans up well. However, I am an older lady and I kind of run out of energy faster thans I used to. My brother who wass a paint contractor is the one who clued me in on the kilz -only application. I have that in my bathroom and it holds up well on all surfaces.

Answer:	Hi Kathy, There are a lot of reasons that a film could bubble. It really depends if you are painting over a water- or oil-based coating. The surface could have moisture trying to escape that is pushing the film up. It could also be a solvent that is on the surface. For instance, if someone cleaned the walls with a product like Pledge, that will leave oil on the wall that could cause the film to bubble. These are the two most common issues we see.

Answer:	I would sure, you need to scrape off the old surface, but it should help under a good deck paint. Our redwood house wasn't primed, had natural finish bad idea. Answer:	No paint really bonds to ceramic tile. If the tile are subjected to rubbing any paint can rub off.

I did get a lot of bubbling from the primer when I sprayed from the can though. I'm not sure why. I ended up stripping that paint job and starting over. The second time, I used this zinnser primer in my hvlp spray gun and it worked great!

Question:	Can i use kilz adhesion as a primer over sheetrock when i am going to tile over? vs sanding the paint and tiling
Answer:	Depends on where you are doing the tile. If the paint is in good condition just clean it. If it's gloss sand the sheen off then clean it. If it is bare sheetrock then yes it will seal the sheetrock and help prevent moisture penetrating. If it's near a tub or shower then it's better to install cement board.

Answer:	You can use either. I used a medium sized brush to make sure it filled all the imperfections in the surface from the chipping old paint. IT is very thick which might make it difficult to “pour” into a roller tray. It’s a great product!

Answer:	I believe the directions say over 50 degrees. The cement may be colder than that. I would make sure it is warm enough or you will have wasted your time and money. I’ve quit painting for the year at this point as we are in the 40s for highs now.

Answer:	So far I have used this product to seal an old weathered Adirondack chair that had been oiled long ago, and I have now painted. Also just coated an exterior window frame that had partially been painted with oil base and partially latex which I wanted to paint overall in latex. Both applications have been successful in providing a bonding coating for the new finishes. I have not noticed much odor, but my sense of smell is not as acute as it once was. I think the product would seal the pine knots, but try an inconspicuous area first to test. I am very happy with the product and will continue to use it in appropriate ways. Read the directions! Question:	Applied first coat of this primer weeks ago. Now going back for a second coat. How long to wait before i begin with third coat of actual paint
Answer:	I didn't wait that long. After 3 or 4 days I put on second coat and a week later I applied first coat of actual paint. But my timetable was set more by my schedule than the cure time. I'm pretty sure you can apply paint after three or four days. It's good stuff.

Answer:	Yes, This is the best primer to get any type of paint to adhere to oil. I repainted my oil based kitchen cabinets by using this primer and then a water based

Answer:	I've used mine to paint laminate, didn't work that great. I used to work in the paint dept. at Lowes and we sold this stuff by Valspar, called Bonding Primer, it's in a blue can. It's amazing!!! I've used it a couple times and it works wonders. I actually just told one of my friends about it because they're painting one of their paneled rentals and are having a hard time finding something to stick to the slick surface. He used the Valspar bonging primer & it came out great.

Answer:	I used semi gloss so the light would reflect back down...if you use matte, it will not reflect light.
