Answer:	I did not note any peeling of the rustoleum after rolling. I prepped the area by using drill with steel brush and belt sander with 120 and 80 sandpaper. Then used mild detergent and water to clean metal.

Answer:	Even though this oil based enamel is made to be used on metal, it will stick to clean dry concrete, which is dried cement . I know this because I had some drip onto a sidewalk while painting something else two years ago, and the paint is still there.

Answer:	You will need a primer if the wood is bare. It resists moisture, thus preventing rust, but is not for immersion. If you need extra water proofing, I would seal the wood with something especially for that purpose. However, I am not truly experienced in this area, so do check with someone else. I got this paint for my metal balcony chairs. I only used it on my wood table so far and it has sealed perfectly through this past Pennsylvania winter.
Question:	Does this item contain Alkyds
Answer:	This is oil based enamel is for use on metal. As far as I can see, the label does not mention alkyds anywhere. It does say: Warning :Contains Petroleum Distillates. Vapor harmful. May affect the brain or nervous system...blah blah blah... Use only with adequate ventilation. " And also: "Unleaded- Safe for use on children's toys, furniture, etc Max VOC<500 g/l. Answer:	You do not need to sand the old paint off. Just make sure the old paint is still on good. If you are able sand the surface with a fine grit sandpaper to assure the new paint sticks better. Answer:	Hi, thanks for your question. INSL-X Cabinet Coat employs an acrylic-urethane resin that achieves superior adhesion on most surfaces. Any previously painted surface that is properly prepared requires no priming. A prepared surface should be cleaned and lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper to dull any gloss that remains on the surface.

Answer:	1. I don't think this is the right paint for aluminum or at a minimum, you will need a special "aluminum primer" paint (I think Rust-Oleum makes it). 2. I think for a boat that will stay in the water for much more than a typical 12 hour day each time it is used, you need professional equipment and paint to do the job, probably best left for marine shop.
Question:	can u paint a car whith this paint
Answer:	Yes! I've used the white and Oyster White, both successfully. The Oyster White is the closest match you can get to Old English White. The benefit of Topside is the UV protection. Be sure to cut the paint. I did 1 part paint, 3/4 part mineral spirits, and 1/4 part Penetrol (found at Home Depot, used to help the paint lay flatter). I applied the paint with a high density roller and foam brushes where the roller couldn't fit. Two coats, then wet sand with 600 wet/dry paper to remove Orange peel. Two coats, then sand with 800. Then two coats and wet sand with 1000. Two coats then wet sand with 1500. Two coats then wet sand with 2000. A lot of work, but worth the savings IMO. Good luck!There should be a picture of my car in the review section. This was my first attempt at it. I very recently used the Oyster White and others have been HIGHLY impressed.

Answer:	Not if you want a bird to live there, in my opinion. Birds tend to use their beaks to maneuver in cages, even if they aren't clipped. Any paint will be ingested by their strong beaks when they do so. Your best bet is to talk to a veterinarian or a pet store and find out which are safe. Normally beyond paint choice, the cage goes through a heating process which makes it safe for birds. I have no idea where to go to get that done though, another question for your local veterinarian or pet store. Hopefully this is helpful.

Answer:	Yes, clean the surface your spray painting with degreaser even dawn liquid dish soap.. or even better liquid deglosser, if you don’t wanna spent the money on deglosser(cheap) just sand lightly with 220 to dull the shine to adhere the paint and do 3 light coats with 3-5 minutes between coats this paint drys fast to the touch but takes 3-4 days to completely dry hard

Answer:	Diamond Hard Acrylic Gloss Enamel is a very tough & durable, water-borne coating that exhibits excellent adhesion, and protection, to a variety of surfaces... Unfortunately, Diamond Hard is NOT recommended for surfaces subject to immersion, submersion, or designated "wet" areas (shower stalls, tubs, sinks, etc.)
Question:	Can I use this to refinish my plastic bathtub
Answer:	I wouldn’t. While it is a durable paint it does not work well on anything that will have contact with water. For instance I used this for my counter tops and when I wash them down a little white paint is on the sponge. Eventually it wears away.
Question:	do you need to mix with something else
Answer:	No mixing needed and it levels out very nicely.
Question:	Is there a clear version that can be used over Formica? I want to put a clear coat over Formica on a coffee table
Answer:	I used to use a polyurethane for that. Best thing though is the clear resin kits. It is super gloss, clear, and waterproof and heat proof. And you don’t need a very thick coat.
