1. The pH function of this soil tester can not be applied to test pH value of any other liquid.

2. Since soil most often is in/close to neutral state (with pH value of 7), it is highly likely that you find the needle in display window stay still (because the default pH value is set at somewhere between 7 and 8) when you use it to test the pH value of soil. Customers sometimes are misled by this appearance and hence regard the tester as a defective unit by mistake.

How to Use:

Step 1: Switch to moisture/pH/light position according to demand.

Step 2: Insert the probe into the soil about 2-4 inches.

Step 3: Check moisture/pH/light level in the dial after 10 minutes.

Step 4: Remove probe from soil and wipe clean after each use.

Kindly Note:

1. Do not force it into very hard soil or touch hard objects since it will be easy to damage the probe.

2. Do not use it to test pure water or other liquids. It can only be used to measure soil.

3. Do not leave the meter in the soil for a long time.

Answer:	It should be installed on the positive and negative of your battery bank probably it could be in the neg and pos buss bar

I want to make clear that we have not designed a protocol of rejuvenation with those kind of batteries, and do not endorse that kind of use. If you are going to test the BLS on those kind of batteries, make sure to never have lead acid batteries in the same room.

Answer:	The BLS 48A is used with solar/wind systems up to 600A. It is used with Polaris four wheelers as well. The BLS 48N is used only on 48V golf carts. Answer:	Nathan, Thanks for the question. The Moisture Range on this Hand Held meter for CORN is 10 - 40%. However, the clear plastic funnel which is provided to assist with consistent filling of the test cell, will not work well on corn over say 25 - 30%. This is due to the lack of flowability in the higher moisture content. I would suggest that you still fill the funnel, but pour the sample back out the large end at just 1 - 2" above the test cell. EVERY TIME and at the same Rate. With this consistency, you would have much greater repeatability between different tests. Answer:	Not on the standard instrument, but YES, Long Grain and Medium Grain Rough Rice have recently been added to the available Calibration list. These would need to be substituted on the list, for example, Oats and Milo could come off and we add in the Long Grain & Medium Grain Rough Rice.
