Answer:	It definitely works for Google. I don't know what a Promethean board is, so I can't answer that one for certain. However, it essentially sends a standard "next slide/previous slide" message to the Windows OS, so any application that conforms to that standard should work just fine. I would hope that most major commercial applications do it.

Q: Can the laser be seen in outdoor or bright sunlight?

A: Yes. But work better indoor than outdoor. Because the laser beam is red, while the sun is the combination of seven-color light. The stronger the sunlight is, the darker the laser would be. If you have to work in the sun, you can use the polarized sunglasses.

If you use the receiver on a grade rod it works for approximately 200 feet with and accuracy of plus or -1/8 in that distance.
