Motion-activated lights are very convenient, but they can be a little bulky and awkward to look at-in the driveway is fine, but you wouldn't want to put one on your porch. Heath Zenith's motion-activated porch lights are another story: the SL-4151 features an attractive mission-style design (complete with beveled glass) that wouldn't look out of place on the porch of a typical bungalow.

The unit will detect motion in a 150-degree radius with up to 30-feet detection range. You can set the light timer to one, five, or ten minutes, and the motion-sensor itself may be adjusted to give you more or less sensitivity (so it doesn't light up every time a car drives by). The weather-resistant painted-brass finish means it's going to look good for a while, too.

This model also features "Dual Brite" lighting, which means you can use it for low-level accent lighting in addition to the full-light effect you get with motion-activation. An included timer allows you to set low-light mode for three hours, six hours, or dusk to dawn (an automatic photocell deactivates the unit in daylight). You can also turn the light on and off at will via the manual override that mounts to an existing indoor switch.

Answer:	Mine is installed in an enclosed patio. It's definitely not an outdoor light, but ours is holding up just fine (no rain exposure, but dust and wind).

Answer:	Yes it comes with the string. I don't recall its length, but it was not short. I recommend replacing the string with a pull chain because it works better (the string has a lot of give to it), it looks nicer, and you can choose your pull decoration - just look at ceiling fan accessories.

Answer:	The light is 8" wide, the metal base is 2" in length, and with dome on the light is 5" in length. Hope this helps.

Answer:	There is a flimsy plastic clip molded to the side of the socket base meant for attachment to a branch. However, it does not open, close, and clamp down tightly like an alligator clip. Once hooked on to a branch, they must be supported upright by an adjacent branch or they will spin and hang upside down.

I liked the first one so much, I purchased a second one. Another reply to your query says 7.5". That person says they got it from the manufacturer's web site. I got mine from the Amazon listing.

Answer:	This is a 110 volt fitting that is wired into the house electrical system. There are some really good solar/rechargeable battery powered sensor lights available these days.

Answer:	This is the worst lamp I ever bought. The sensor did not work and had to sent it back for other model. It just worked like an ordinary lamp with on/off switch.
