Answer:	It only takes one screw to install these. However, they point downward so installing them on a 4 ft fence wouldn't give you much coverage.

Answer:	Yes, there is an off switch. There is a button that's right next to the motion sensor. 1st push gets a dem light, 2nd push, a brighter light, 3rd push is motion only and 4th push turns unit off.

Question:	I have a small Yorkie about 8 lbs. If she slips in the water, not creating a big splash would the unit go off
Answer:	I don't know if it will detect her going in I suspect no, but- it might once she starts splashing and moving in the water- When we put ours in it did not detect the waves created by a gallon jug of water from across the alarm dropped in about a foot above water level (so about 8-9 pounds) (but it did when we did 2 at same time) . The manual also notes that gradual water entry might not be detected. It would also be affected by size of pool and number of alarms. Their customer service is 800-242-7163- they might be able to tell you- or if they have other options
Question:	What are the dimensions? What's the length of the arm that goes in the water, as measured from where the pool deck would be to the bottom of the arm
Answer:	9.5" x 11"From the deck, the arm goes 11" down. Adjust your water level to ensure that at least 2.5" of the arm are in the pool.
Question:	Will this work with a Zodiac pool cleaner thats in motion 8 hours a day
Answer:	I'm not familiar with the zodiac but I have a navigator pool cleaner that runs 9 hours and it has NOT triggered this alarm. This was one of my concerns that I researched in pool alarms. Hope that helps!

Answer:	There is nothing operationally that would prevent that. But. You need at least 5 inches clearance between the deck and the bottom of the cover.... Not likely. But, it can be picked up easily when you decide to deploy the cover. If the cover is on... I assume you do not need the guard

Answer:	Sadly I doubt it would- I believe it had to be like 19-25 pounds to sound the alarm. Can you install a gate? This is scary for you… I wish Good luck with your dog!!

Answer:	It connects through wifi to another transmitter you charge in house. It's really loud regardless. You won't miss the alarm.

Answer:	it comes with a long tether that can be easily shortened without cutting it, but you could let it float around without it. If it is free floating be sure it is alarming properly. Its alarm sensitivity is also very adjustable. Note: rain will also likely set it off.
Question:	Will it work if a small, 8-pound dog falls in
Answer:	I believe it will work. Our cats, 10# and 11# both fell in and it went off. Also, my husband forgot it was in and just dangled his feet and it went off. We have been really pleased with it.

We do not recommend turning the float out more than three full turns.

Alarm Placement for pools 20x40 ft or smaller

One pool alarm can be used for all pool types. This includes aboveground, in-ground, inflatable and soft side pools.

Alarm Placement for pools larger then 20x40 ft

It is recommended that more than one alarm should be used in pools larger than 20x40 ft.

RECEIVER

Your receiver works with the pool alarm allowing you to monitor your pool from within your house. When the floating alarm is activated it sends a signal to activate the receiver.

Transmission Modes

The receiver has two modes of operation: Serial Number mode (SN mode) and ID mode. When the receiver is in SN mode it will accept the transmission of any Pool Patrol transmitter (this is the default setting). The serial number is common to all transmitters. When the receiver is in ID mode it will accept the serial number plus the ID number of the transmission. The ID number is unique to each transmitter.

RECEIVER PLACEMENT

It is best to place the receiver next to a window or wood door adjacent to the pool with-in 200 feet from the transmitter. Do not place the receiver near steel walls, cabinets, on or alongside an electrical appliance, such as a computer, or on a metal surface as this may affect signal reception. The pool alarm will not transmit its signal through the ground.

Answer:	Write the manufacture and explain the situation. I did that and they sent me a new mechanism. That didn't work, and they sent me a new clock. Be patient and persistent... Answer:	Not that I could find. It's not all that great of a clock. I've had several problems with mine where I had to take it apart to no avail.

Answer:	Mine is mounted on the back of our home which gets direct sunlight in the afternoon, till close to sunset. We got it in early July of this year, and so far we haven't had a problem with it yet! It seems to still be very accurate, and that says a lot, considering we live just south of St. Louis, which is known for it's hot and humid summer days!
