Then sand down the ferrule to remove any old glue (there is a tool for this that will make sure the ferrule is perfectly perpendicular to the cue axis). Followed by gluing on the new tip and grinding it down to fit if it is larger than the stick. Finish by a final fitting with a Porpers Tip tool and a burnishing tool.
