Answer:	You can. I think this is a creative solar garden lights. Even if the lantern doesn't work. I can also put candles or LED lights in and it can still reflect beautiful patterns. I like it very much. Not long ago I placed an order for my mother as a gift, she use these outdoor lanterns for patio decoration.

Answer:	I have one in my kitchen window (on the east side of the house) and I love waking into the kitchen at night and seeing it lit up, so pretty.

Answer:	Yes, I would say the lantern is waterproof. I had it out on my deck all summer. It is lightweight and blew over a few times, and the solar disk will fall out, but it survived and I have it inside for the winter. I recommend buying it!
