Question: I need total of 166ft can I add more to it
Answer: Sorry the maximum light length for connecting to the power cord is 150ft, please do not exceed the limit.
Question: Can I get more power sources so I can use the rope light in 150' roll in more than 1 place
Answer: On a 150ft roll it comes with 4 extra power sources. and with all the connections you need. Amazon should start paying me to answer the questions for their sellers.
Question: Can you suggest a battery pack to make this portable
Answer: You would have to talk to the manufacturer to be sure this LED configuration can be run from a DC source. However, if you have decent electrical skills you may be able to figure it out by measuring the voltage output of the second power cord. You would need to measure the DC voltage output from the unconnected pins, be careful not to cause a short circuit and damage the supply. You may know the small black box in the power cord is an AC to DC power supply, essentially similar to most black cube DC plug in wall charges. Once you determine the DC voltage you will need to select the Amp-hr. rating of the battery to last long enough. You really need to know the DC current to size the battery, but we can use the manufacturer AC watts to calculate current at 120 VAC (approximately 1.8 amps). So if you had the correct voltage battery rated at 2 amp-hrs. you would get slightly more than an hour of use (2/1.8 = 1.11 hours). However, there a lot of variables so this is a very, very crude estimate.

Answer: Yes mike I used 1/2 inch aluminum channel to mount outside with silicone dabs as an extra precaution. I read the plastic channel yellows and expands with heat causing the lighting to droop.
