Answer:	There are no cords. the batteries make the lights blink and the ball turn. There is no sound or mic, or music.

Answer:	Hi Jill. When I ordered it the product description said that it was battery operated, but when it arrived it was not. Since we ordered it specifically to take on a river trip I had to return it and order a battery operated one elsewhere.
