Answer:	It should work fine since each bulb will have power. With the bulbs being right next to each other, You’d have to try it and see if they have any interference between each other. If it does work, you could just make a scene that turns them on with the same color and percent, so they come on and off as if they were just one light.

Answer:	Yes, and no. You can still use the normal light switch to turn the bulb on and off. However, when you have the light switch off there is no power to the bulb and therefore it cannot be turned on with the Hue button (or any other device). Also, you can set the 'power-on behavior'. If you set the power-on behavior to on, then you turn off the light switch and on the switch the bulb will go to the power-on behavior. So if the bulb is off and the Hue button is too far away, you can turn the switch off and then on and the bulb will come on.

Question:	How long do the batteries last
Answer:	It's going to depend on how often you use it. I have not gotten more than a year on the rooms I use every day. Make sure you don't over tighten that tiny screw on the battery door! Terrible design that makes it very easy to strip the screw.
Question:	If i buy a second dimmer switch, will it be independent of the one i already have? i don’t want all lights to come on
Answer:	You would have to programme it to be associated with a particular bulb or group of bulbs, so it would be independent of the current dimmer and any bulbs you have by default. However, if you buy one of the dimmer packs that include a bulb, sometimes the dimmer is already paired with the included bulb, so you would have to reset the dimmer in this instance.
Question:	Do you need to use an app for this or will it just work with the bulb and remote
Answer:	I purchased this via ebay. No. You do not need the app. Both the bulb and the remote will work fine without the Philips Hue Hub. The Philips Hue Hub is a product that allows the bulbs to interface with your phone. This system is designed to work out of the box with each other. The remote comes preprogrammed for the bulb. However, it is possible to purchase the Philips Hue Hub to use the (free) Philips Hue app with this bulb and with other bulbs in your possession, and that will allow you to re-set up the remote to accomplish more specific and varied effects like launching scenes that you have created. I am guessing that users who report needing app to set up the remote, first purchased a Philips Hue Starter Kit, (which comes with a Hub), and thus have only ever experienced using a Philips Hue Dimmer Switch with respect to the Philips Hue app, which will of course require a setup of the switch to integrate it into your existing system. This set will work conveniently and consistently out of the box. No phone, app, or Hub required.

Answer:	Yes. Dimming might not work though. I have mine set up for our nightstand lights (non hue) with the hue button. Question:	Do you have hard wired version? Normally the sensor is mounted somewhere out of reach. Why would anyone wants to change battery periodically
Answer:	No one WANTS to change a battery periodically but if there is no available outlet, it’s better than nothing. And every couple of years is no big deal. (Plus it looks much better if there is no electrical cord running down the side of your house.)
Question:	Can I use this to trigger other smart outlets
Answer:	Short answer: Yes Long answer: It depends. I don’t know how home automation works with android, but Phillips Hue is Apple HomeKit compatible. The sensor shows up as 3 sensors in the Apple Home app, motion sensor, light/lux sensor, and temperature sensor. You can create automation rules in Apple Home that can control any HomeKit compatible outlet. I don’t know if Phillips Hue has released any smart outlets (pretty sure they just do lighting), but if so then you could probably create a routine for it in the Hue app. Note: If you’re new to HomeKit, you should be aware that Apple HomeKit automation only works when you have an Apple device acting as a home automation hub. This can either be an AppleTV or iPad (that stays at home). If all you have is an iPhone, it either won’t work at all, or if it does it will only work when your iPhone is connected to your home WiFi.

Answer:	Glad to see there's finally a work around for this. I previously had an app (I can't remember the name) that allowed you to create logic linked to any smart platform... and also use things like the Nest Doorbell... so I had it set to: Hue came on sunset at 10% dim. If Nest detects person, set Hue outdoor lights to 100% Brightness for 30sec., then activate scene 10% dim. It worked great, but the people who developed that app discontinued it. It worked for a while afterward too but then one day just stopped. I'm so glad to see I can do this again!!! (since you can buy "dumb" lights that do this on their own with 2 level dusk dawn motion sensors)

Will Litcessory products cause my Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus to be dimmer?

• No, Litcessory products do not affect the brightness of the lights, as long as your total lightstrip run length (Philips Hue lightstrip length plus any Litcessory product length) stays within 10 meters/33 feet, your lights will be just as bright!

Philips says their lightstrips are expandable to a maximum of 10 meters/33 feet. If I use an extension cable or ethernet cable, does this affect the 10 meter/33 foot limit?

• We suggest keeping your total lightstrip run under 10 meters/33 feet. This includes the total length of your lightstrips and any Litcessory products and ethernet cables. Some customers have reported success going over this limit, however we have not tested this.

Can I split cut ends?

Answer:	The hue hub directly controls the bulbs (one hue hub can control 50? bulbs). Alexa can install a “skill” (an app/program) that communicates with the hue hub. The end result: You say “alexa turn on bedroom light", Alexa passes the request to the hue hub, hub turns the light on, Alexa gets a reply that the request was fulfilled and lights are on. You can control the hue hub directly with an app, or you can use an apple or google smart device to do the same thing that alexa does.
Question:	Do these reconnect automatically if you turn the switch off and then back on
Answer:	I have an Echo dot gen 3 and purchased these bulbs last month. Got them connected easily and they worked for 3 weeks and now Alexa cannot discover them. I tried to leave a review on my purchase, but the message says they’ve noticed unusual reviews on this product so they won’t let me leave one. Guess everyone is having the same issue.
Question:	Will these lights work with a 1st generation hub
Answer:	Just got these for Prime Day deal. You need a hub to take full advantage of voice control (Alexa/Google). Otherwise, you need to set them up via Bluetooth for Alexa which means the Echo device needs to be within 30 feet of the lights. Even my Echo Dot 4 feet away from the lights, the operation of the bulbs is hit and miss. Worked bout 85% of the time. The rest of the time the Echo said it couldn't communicate with the lights. You can also use the Philips Hue (Bluetooth) app. For the price, I really was not impressed with the functionality of them. Also purchased some LOHAS Smart LED bulbs (got 3 bulbs for the price of these 2) and those work great. The LOHAS are both Bluetooth and Wifi, with no hub needed at all. Cant really recommend the Philips as I don't want to purchase a hub. Will most likely return these as the LOHAS bulbs work way better.

Answer:	I have one that came with my Echo Show 10, it paired with the Echo Show and the other Echos can control it no issue. But you have to have an Echo with Zigbee function - that means the older Echo Plus, or the new 4th gen Echo or an Echo Show 10. If not, you'll need to use Hue's hub and use the Hue skill to link to your Alexa network. Of the choices, I recommend the show, because it gives you visuals when installing. however most my smart devices are wifi using the Smart Life app and intergrate using that skill.

Answer:	I’m not an expert but my understanding is that you need the Hue bridge to control the lights. I have an iPhone and Apple Watch and use both to control my lights but that is done thru the Hue bridge. As an aside, the thought of adding another “black box” to my home (i.e., the Hue bridge) was not appealing to me at first but now that I have it and understand how it works I can see the benefits of having it control the 20+ lights (and growing) I have around the house. The Bridge provides a very nice interface for control timing, grouping, geo-fencing, and dimming/color schemes among other things. The Hue app is on my first page of apps on my phone and is the only one I use to control/configure my lights. BTW, the Bridge also works seamlessly with Amazon Echo and Alexa voice commands is how I access my lights 9 times out of 10 for random events.
