Answer:	You can get any lamp shade that fits on top of the harp under the finial. It is not necessary to use the harp that is in the kit if you have (or want) a shade that fits down at the bottom of the light bulb. There are lots of both types of shades available here on Amazon.
Question:	Is the wire copper
Answer:	I haven't tried this, but it might work. The socket piece has two ways for the cord to come out. It can go straight down so that the cord can come out the bottom of a lamp (hole already there) or it can come out the side when you don't have a lamp base with a hole in it. You would need a way to attach it to the lid of a mason jar...I wouldn't know how to go about doing that. It does have a support rod that attaches to the bottom of the socket, so that could go into the lid if you drilled a hole.

1. On the right side of socket housing by the switch (Press) into housing to release outer shell, in some cases you will need to press back of housing as well. (Use a flat head screw driver)

2. Remove inner socket from housing DO NOT remove cardboard insulation.

3. With a flat head or Philips screw driver unscrew both bottom screws with the copper wire wrapped around them.

4. Keep copper wire tightly wrapped together and wrap them around replacement ESC socket bottom screws and tighten them down. There is no difference between screws don't worry about interchanging wires on them.

5. Press inner socket firmly into place in the earlier removed housing, screws with wire must be pressed all the way inside and should not be showing, then push housing and socket back into place on the original base that it was earlier removed from.

Question:	I am thinking of using this lamp inside of a piece of driftwood. My question is, how hot does the bulb get? Hot enough to burn dry wood
Answer:	I am not the vendor, however , what I have learned about aluminum wiring is that for large power cables there is a procedure which involves a grease, special receptacles, and a heavy clamping pressure. For lamp switches what I would do is to use crimp on terminals to provide the best clamping pressure on the wire. There might even be some terminals made specifically for this. Putting the wire directly under the screws would not be as positive a connection, and it might corrode over time. I am sure that the internet has some good answers.

Question:	I need the part that holds this on the lamp. What is that called and where do I find it? I have the lamp and shade but this piece was missing
Answer:	I just use a standard size bulb in it, and it works great.

Answer:	Not to my knowledge I haven't seen one that has a brown cord. But you can buy a brown cord.
Question:	Do you sell replacement part that holds the shade in place? I have the lamp and shade but this piece was missing
Answer:	On the side of the socket look for the word "press." Place your thumb there and press firmly then pull on the base and it should separate.
Question:	Will this fit a Hunter ceiling fan
Answer:	The lamp pipe is about 4 ins. long. But the lamp wire is not UL approved, it also tripped my circuit breaker. I had to change the lamp wire. I bought one on Amazon GE 8ft. UL approved and rewired the lamp with no problems. Just a word to the wise.
