Answer:	You need to make sure you rock the shaft (connects base and magnifier) all the way back, which seems to prepare it when you move it back forward to click into position. The connection of the shaft and the magnifier doesn't 'click' in positions, but you should be able to put the angle about where you want it--internal pressure seems good. It did take a little playing with, and there are 'set' positions, but they work okay for my needs. I don't use it for prolonged reading, for instance, just for looking at stamps, coins, very small print, things like that, which it does very well. As I said in my review, the small higher-power magnifier could be a touch larger (it's a touch under 20 mm, while the whole lens is about 75 mm), but that's my only suggestion. Reading books and magazines might require a different type of magnifier, but for my purposes, at the low price, the Fancii is a good value.

LED LIGHT AND DIOPTER LENS-

The built-in LED bulb has 9 watts, 800 Lumens and a color temperature range from 3,000 (warm white light) to 6,000 (cool white light) Kelvin.

The magnifying lens is also built-in but can be removed for cleaning purposes. It is 4.5 inches wide and about 1 inch thick, and is made from real diopter glass, for 1.75x magnification of what you're looking at. The dust cover for the lens is not removable at this time. (Please NOTE- since the lens is removable, check package while setting up as the lens may have come loose during shipping, and ALWAYS make sure the lens is properly in place before use)

WHAT TO KNOW-

The Lightview Pro comes packaged securely in styrofoam boxes for the head and the base and is very easy to put together. Just follow the included instruction diagram; no additional tools necessary!

The lamp's height can be modified between 51 inches to as low as 24 inches on your table or work bench, by removing the additional pole piece between the head and the base. It can even be used as a clamp desk lamp with an appropriate clamp base. It has a maximum outward reach of 29 inches.

The lamp weighs approximately 27 pounds, mostly thanks to the sturdy weighted base, which measures 6 x 11 inches.

OPERATION DETAILS-

The Lightview's On/Off switch is conveniently located at the bottom of the head, just under the lens on the left side. To dim the brightness levels, just tap the touch sensing arrows at the top of the lamp head.

Because of the built in dimmer, the lamp cannot be dimmed externally at this time. The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets.

The Lightview works only with 110v outlets but is safe to use in 220v outlets with a 220v-110v voltage converter.

Coming in just two separate pieces, with an included instructional diagram, the Lightview Pro is very easy to put together.
