| Answer: | Hmmm, good question! I have a 16 lb kitty that likes to do the same but he's not allowed in the bedroom where we have this fan, so I did a little stability test of my own just now. Although it has a pretty large base, the base isn't weighted and the fan does wobble substantially when I pushed against it so I'm thinking if you have an overly enthusiastic kitty that likes to push up and rub against things (ours kinda rams himself against anything he rubs on more than brushing lightly against things), the weight of a 17 lb cat might would possibly knock this thing over. I'd suggest one of the Lasko Fans that has the faux wood trim - I've seen them in person at the store and they seem to be a bit more stable than this fan. |

| Answer: | The question s a bit unclear. The fan does not come with a remote control, but I purchased remote control devices and they work. The only comment I would make is, I installed 3 fans with only the remote controls that I had mounted on my wall. If the power goes out, when it comes back on, all of the fan lights come on and must be manually shut off at the remote. This is a feature of the remote, not the fan. |
