Answer:	Unfortunately I have the 154. It gives of very little heat and only in a small area. It is VERY loud. I called the manufacturer, and they told me that the 154 is not meant to heat a room, but the area directly UNDER it. It is basically a space heater. I have a very small bathroom and it does not heat it at all. The VERY loud noise is unbearable. I put the phone up to the heater for the Company rep to hear and they told me it was defective and should be returned...they are warranteed for one year. I was told that the 157 is for heating the room, unlike the 154 which, again, is only for a small area.Both the 154 and the 157 look the same. VERY tinny and cheap looking. They look like they should be in a warehouse or garage. Unfortunately, they are the only company that I could find that makes Ceiling heaters so basically you are stuck. But make sure that you only get the 157...even though you might have a noisy one. As a friend who has one says, " the are the only ones on the market so why should they care about quality control"....

Answer:	Don't know. But the most likely reason that the light 'died' is a thermal fuse in the neutral of the pigtail. It's a little tricky to replace, but probably easier than the whole fixture.
Question:	Why does the product say it requires a " Broan model 69W or 69V 2-function control". Can I not just use a regular light switch to turn on and off
Answer:	The housing dimensions are the same, but the internal parts are different. You would still remove the old one and do a complete replacement.

Answer:	Type IC can have insulation up against the unit. Non-IC requires an air space between the unit and insulation of any sort. IC stands for Insulation Contact.

Question:	Is this product vent free and no required chimney or venting
Answer:	This unit actually has a vent system that turns on automatically because of the amount of heat the lamps put out. I returned it because it did not fit my space. I also wasn't happy about the vent situation. In any event, all bathroom vents are supposed to vent outdoors which is even required by code in many places. It really has nothing to do with this particular unit. You can either put it in right or you can let it exhaust directly into the attic.

Answer:	I would say no. It is not water tight. I have this in the center of my bathroom though and with all 4 heat lamps on it gets as hot as the sun in there. So if you have it- no worries- it will heat the whole place up. Our bathroom is maybe 12x12, I turn it on a few mins before a shower and you can break a sweat by the time I'm done. It also can provide a lot of light or a little depending on how many bulbs you turn on. Worth every penny in my opinion.

Answer:	Actually, I purchased this exhaust fan to replace one that was about 25 or 30 years old. You should find that the canister that is currently in your ceiling does not have to be removed. Once I removed the guts of the old fan I was able to put the new fan with the heating element and lights into the housing that was still in the ceiling. It has been working perfectly since I installed it.
Question:	Can you have the heat and the fan on at the same time
Answer:	Yes but the fan blows down when you have the heat on then you put the fan on which blows out. What a waste.
Question:	I presently have a broan 741sn in my bath. wife wants heat. are there any problems in swapping in a nutone 9093wh? will it swap out easily
Answer:	It will not swap out easily. The 741SN has a housing dimension of 8.25" x 8" x 5.75". The 9093WH has a much larger housing. It is 13.25" diameter x 7.5" height. You would need to enlarge the hole in the ceiling as well as needing more clearance in the attic.

Answer:	No this bulb does not emit the UVA or UVB rays that reptiles require for vitamin D and other health needs. For reptile heat only you need the Red bulb which emits as much heat but not the blinding light.

Answer:	An Infra red lamp will heat an object within the beam spread of the bulb. (within reason) If you have an 8 ft. ceiling in your garage and use a standard medium base ceramic light bulb holder from Lowes or Home Depot (couple bucks), you will feel warmth directly under the lamp. Make sure you buy a 250 watt white light lamp and not the red heat lamps. If this is over a small workbench, I think you'll like it but your toes will still be cold. (ha)

Answer:	There is no non-heating mode that I know about. I did switch from the clear bulbs to red ones since the light was too bright. If you want bright light versus dimmer red then that shouldn't be a problem.
