Question:	Does it regenerate based on a timer or metered water flow
Answer:	The installation manuals for the water softeners (602abcwater, abundant flow & clear water store) all state that the drain line can run up above the Fleck 5600-SXT control and into a drain, it does not have to drain down, as the filter back-washes under line pressure. They further state that it's preferable for the drain to be located with 15 feet of the system, longer distances will require larger drain tubing. Most plumbing codes require an air gap, essentially the drain line cannot directly touch standing water. My house came with a GE Profile (all in one) Water Softener when it was new and the builder plumbed a drain line 5 feet off the ground (10 foot ceilings) and it runs up a little over 5 feet, then makes an 18 foot run above the ceiling and drops down (another 6 feet) a wall just above the washing machine drain pipe which is plumbed with a P-trap as well. All in all I have a drain line in the wall of about 35 feet (5 feet from the 5600 SXT head to the wall) and neither the GE Profile or this Fleck 5600 SXT based system has a problem pushing the waste water out. The lines in the wall are copper. The greater the distance the larger the diameter of the waste line needs to be. I purchased my waste line here on Amazon (SAMAR COMPANY 9005PTV Mp 1/2X5/8X50 Poly Tube). I also used it from the brine tank to a gravity fed waste line that has a check valve to prevent water from backing up into the brine tank, and still had plenty left over that can use for other projects. You should not have any issues if you get a good drain line

Answer:	Yes, I bought this because I moved to TX and the water was destroying my hair and skin. It does work and I’ve noticed a huge difference, but the filter does not last 6 months. It lasts about 2-3 before the water pressure becomes very low. Worth it though to just replace filter, I can finally brush my wet hair without tangles again.

Answer:	It screw onto the water pole that exits the wall. Then your shower head screws onto this. They are all standard sized I think. If it leaks, mine didn't, you would need to put teflon tape on the threads. Hope this helped!

Answer:	It does as far as product defects. Pistons and seals will wear over time and of course normal wear on anything would not be covered by warranty. Life of those parts varies depending on water quality.

Answer:	I believe it will fit. My installation is approximately 18" deep from the wall at the widest part of the brine tank and 29" wide at the same point. I could have pushed the tanks together and squeezed them into a smaller area. I think they would fit in an area 26 inches wide.The pipes attach to the tall tank at 56" from the floor. I did install the plastic bypass to the back of the tank and that adds a few inches to the pipes on the back of the tank. I also added a manual bypass to the pipes above the tank coming from the main water line.

The refilling schedule will vary depending on your water hardness, water usage, and personal preference. Some will add a bag or two a month to keep the system full, while others will wait until almost empty and just fill it up a few times a year.This system will use 24 lb of salt for every 48,000 grains of hardness treated at standard settings. At more efficient settings you will use 9 lb of salt for every 36,000 grains of hardness treated. If you divide the capacity of the system (48,000 at standard settings or 36,000 at efficient settings) by the hardness of your water that will give you the number of gallons of water you can use between regenerations. The iSpring ED2000 whole house electronic water descaler is an innovative, computerized water conditioning system that solves hard water problems without the need for chemicals, salt, or filter cartridges by leaving the minerals in the water and preventing them from forming the limescale deposits. It requires little maintenance as it does not need the constant salt additions or cartridge replacements that traditional water softening systems require. The ED2000 functions by wrapping two antenna cables around the main water pipe to form a coil, creating a complex, frequency modulated, electronicmagnetic waveform. This induces an oscillating electric field into the water, resulting in the agitation of water molecules sufficient enough to trigger the release of carbon dioxide and cause the premature precipitation of calcium bicarbonate. Traditional Water Softening Process

Traditional water softeners work by "exchanging" hard minerals like calcium and magnesium, for soft minerals that don't build up and form scale. However, these systems come with a hefty maintenance cost, and create soft water loaded with sodium that is neither healthy nor desirable to drink. Soft water is even aggressive enough to leach lead from your pipes and plumbing lines.

ED2000 Water Descaling Process

Answer:	Salt can come in three different forms: pellets crystal block salt Salt pellets are the most common and are generally less expensive than potassium pellets. Here is a breakdown of the available options: Evaporated salt pellets have the highest purity rate of the aforementioned salts and are generally the most expensive. The higher the purity of your salt (we prefer 99.9% pure salt), the less water-insoluble matter, which means less chance of “bridging”, “mushing”, or insoluble buildup in the bottom of the tank that will need to be cleaned out later. Solar salt pellets is most commonly sold in the crystal or pellet form and is made through evaporating sea water. Solar salt is more soluble than rock salt, but may not work as well as evaporated salt when your water hardness level is very high. Many solar salt brands contain 99.6 pure salt. Rock salt resembles small rocks or pebbles. Although this form of salt is more economical, we don’t recommend using as it contains a high amount of calcium sulfate which means it won’t dissolve well in water and can cause maintenance headaches. Block salt should not be used unless your WaterTech dealer recommends and raises the water level in the brine tank to ensure the blocks are fully submerged for maximum brine formation. Like most things, it’s best to spend a little more up front for high quality. Hard water can cause problems when washing clothes since the dissolved calcium and magnesium that causes hardness will prevent the soap from mixing with water effectively. This causes leftover soap residue and scum that can prevent clothes from coming clean. Unlike a traditional water softener, The ED2000 allows the calcium and magnesium to remain in the water so soap in your laundry can still be affected by the dissolved solids and prevent it from mixing completely.
