Question:	Can you drink the water after passing through these filters
Answer:	Technically no, but I have. There is a filter that will filter the water to drinking quality, but it is around $30. A little pricey but you can drink the water right out of the hose. That filter replaces the .5 micron filter.
Question:	Where can I get replacement sealing rings for the housing
Answer:	You should be able to fine a replacement at a large hardware store or a large automotive parts store. I have not had to search yet , but I will this summer just in case I have a problem . I always keep sparies when traveling.
Question:	How long do the filters last
Answer:	Beech Lane filter cartridges are rated to process 1900 gallons of water. If you only occasionally use the system, once per year cartridge change is adequate. For the consistent weekend warrior campers, we recommend replacing the cartridges every 6 months If you are living in your camper all year round it's best to change the cartridges every three months or so.
Question:	Does this product completely remove chlorine and chloramine
Answer:	No, but any 2x10 filter will fit in the housing. So you can buy different types of filters.

5 Micron and 5 Micron Dual Water Filtration

Combining a 0.5 micron and a 5 micron water filter maximizes your water purity. The 5 micron polypropelyne filter cleans out larger sediment such as sand, dirt, and silt while the 0.5 micron filter catches the remaining smaller particles such as chemicals, chlorine, bacteria, cysts, and other small contaminants.

They are a standard size filter at 2.5" x 10" and the first stage is a 5 micron sediment filter and the second stage is 0.5 micron carbon block filter.

The filter should be changed every six months. They are universal and can be replaced by an 5 micron sediment filter rand 0.5 micron carbon block filter of the same size.

Answer:	No reason it couldn't, but turning it over periodically, weekly/monthly, should extend the life of the filter cartridge.

Answer:	I believe it's a standard water hose size. Standard garden hoses are 5/8-inch in diameter.
Question:	Since it doesn't come with a bracket - has someone come up with another mounting option
Answer:	I would recommend the Camco Water Filter Stand. Part no. 40775. Available at Amazon and other rv resellers. One of the reasons I bought this filter is we don't use our rv too often and it as it makes it easy to flush the water system with bleach. (remove filter from canister, pour in some bleach, then its easy to add the bleach to my water tank/system)
Question:	does this RVF rv water filter come with a filter
Answer:	Yes, a granular activated carbon filter is included. This filter says it is good for filtering 250 gallons of water. It will filter much more but you will need to open the filter housing and remove the filter in order for the filter to dry between camping trips. Otherwise you will have bacteria growing inside the filter. We usually only camp for 3 days at a time. Then we may not camp again for another month. You could camp for 1 month using this one filter provided in the package if the water is as good as the campground water I have been using in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. I prefer to just use a sedement filter for the camper, this keeps all the dirt and small rocks out of your faucel valves with no maintenance problems.

Question:	what filter removes iron and sediment
Answer:	well that's two different filter types. iron needs a charcoal filter and sediment needs a regular paper or cotton filter, the charcoal filter will do both but will plug up fairly quick, depending on how much sediment is present. now if this is for a rv I would also recomend flushing out the water tank if that is where the sediment is coming from.

Answer:	There is no expiration date stated and I see no reason the unopened filter wouldn't have a shelf life of a year or two. Once in use, though, Camco recommends replacement after 3 months. As full-timers, we use our filters a lot and I usually replace mine every 4 to 6 months.

Answer:	I’m full-time alone in my RV, staying mostly in parks and resorts. I’m almost always on city water, yet I still use this filter, and routinely replace it every six months. I have yet to ever notice any chlorine or other unusual tastes in my water. Very satisfied!

Answer:	The longevity of the filters depends on the type of water that you are filtering and the number of gallons. For very pure water, you might get 1 year of use full time out of it. If you travel around a lot and filter very bad water with lots of sediment and chemicals or minerals, you might only get 3 months use. On the average, the sediment filters will last about 3 months and the carbon filter will last about 6 months, but there is a wide variation based on the quality of the water.

Answer:	You will need a total of 2 drinking water hoses to connect this system from the spigot to the RV. By adding this in line, it will require an additional hose vs connecting the hose directly to the RV with no filters.

Can this system reduce TDS?

Please note that this Undersink Water Filtration System cannot reduce TDS. Not for hard water.

TDS stands for total dissolved solids. It is composed of inorganic salts and a small amount of organic matter. This filter cannot lower the TDS value because it reduces harmful substances while retaining minerals such as potassium, calcium, sodium, and magnesium, which are beneficial for your body.

Can the system filter well water?

No. This system is designed for Municipal Tap Water. If using well water as the source, please make sure the feed water has been through a pre-filtration system, otherwise, large particles in well water will clog the filter easily and shorten filter life.

Question:	Can this work on home wash machines
Answer:	There is no reason you couldn’t. Keep in mind these are designed to be used in a RV with a much lower amount of water flowing through them. They manufacturer recommends they be changed every 3 months. The water flow through a washing machine is much greater. Not sure what you are trying to filter out but there may be better options and even less costly.
